I think the problem is that it HAS been evolving. It shouldn't.
Basic marketplace economics. Supply and demand. You want to sell and I want to buy. We both need to feel that the deal is good for us. We have choices. The seller stays in business if there is some profit. The buyer comes back if the deal was fair.
None of this is hard.
But, you start getting government involved, and lawyers, people start worrying about social responsibility, and taking care of this, and taking care of that, and pretty soon it evolves into a collectivist nightmare, either socialism or fascism (not every different).
TRANSLATION: "I got mine. Screw you."
I was thinking the same thing. Whole Foods is a good place to shop. Mrs D shops there.
Who'd've thought their CEO had some common sense?
Wait till his Leftist customers find out.
The dim politicians know that socialism will ruin this country but it won’t ruin them if they are the ones in power. An example is the former Soviet Union. The party bosses lived like kings.
As for the dimrat voters and their media? Useful idiots.
More so his customers, 90% of whom are vapid liberals.
Venezuela is starving and Maduro has a gut on him....
They are liars voting/supporting other liars...and therefore they know any dim “spokesperson” is lying whenever they sound like they are making rational sense.
The media and the useful idiots will be the first to be liquidated!
Whole Foods clienteles are everybody. We love to shop there and a few weeks ago we saw a Subaru Outback with a Trump bumper sticker along with an adopt a dog bumper sticker and the equality sticker. It isn’t our main place to shop, but we love to getfresh juices there.
I knew he was relatively conservative. He came out against Obamacare.
These are good topics to talk about. Nobody gets rich quick.
What about buying real estate and flipping houses and all that? If it was that easy to do, and make money, everyone would be doing it, instead of working at their regular jobs.
What about these pyramid sales companies? If it was that easy, everyone would quit their regular jobs and sell Amway and Tupperware.
And what of the Berlin Wall? Why was it necessary, if socialism/communism is a worker’s paradise? Why have so many people risked their lives to escape communism, if communism is such a utopia?
Sounds like he’s fishing for a golden parachute from the tech oligarch that own his company.
Yessir. One of my lovely wife’s nephew is a snot nosed college punk enamoured with the beauty of socialism, and sure enough he’s convinced that by golly if the right people like him were just given the chance socialism really will make the world a kinder gentler place. He has all the answers. Problem is, he doesn’t understand the questions, just like so many of his peers.

I have a friend that is a former citizen of Venezuela. He makes a couple of trips back per year carrying toothpaste, toilet paper and socks. Workers paradise accomplished.
Awww those misguided Dems and Progs. They just need to understand how ineffective their programs are. They don’t understand the consequences of their ideology. But golly gee as a big government compassionate conservative I know how to fix capitalism.
Pardon me if I do t see a big difference. Maniacal Messiah complexes run deep on both sides.
So we get socialism full bore with the Democrats. it fails. And then what? We cannot return to a Constitutional Republic once we have goon swimming in the socialist lake. Once the Constitution has been undone it can only b e replaced by other versions of authoritarianism. We do not have a population able to reinstate what the Founding Fathers left us.
