FULTON COUNTY, NY- Americans around the country are speaking out against the never ending lockdowns doled out by Democratic politicians. Now, so are law enforcement officers.
In an interview on the Fox Business Network show “Evening Edit”, a New York sheriff criticized politicians that have ordered police to stand down to rioters while simultaneously demanding they enforce coronavirus restrictions.
Fulton County Sheriff Richard Giardino stated that people are “fed up” with the “hypocrisy” of officials.
During the interview Giardino stated:
“Some of these same governors and politicians across this country have spent the last six months telling you police are bad, police have to reform, police get up in the morning and want to shoot people.”
He continued:
“They’ve reinforced that narrative. They’ve stood down, had police departments stand down in their cities, allowed protesters and rioters to take over police precincts and damage and vandalize buildings, and yet they want to go after citizens who want to go about their life, who aren’t rioting and looting and damaging things.”
While wrapping up his thoughts the sheriff said:
“I think people are fed up with their hypocrisy.”
Sheriff Giardino’s bravery in standing up to tyrannical politicians is admirable but not uncharacteristic of him. In fact, earlier in November Law Enforcement Today reported on the sheriff’s refusal to enforce mandatory lockdowns.
Giardino was the first sheriff in New York to announce that he will not be enforcing the governor’s lockdown order.

The rioters were softening up the population so the Democrat Party would find it easier to govern by decree.

thankfully he stands for truth- The gov on the other hand insulted these sherrifs and officers saying they weren’t ‘true policemen’ - Hey NY Gov- these police men and women put their lives on the line every day- every hour practically- they never know if they will make it through the day- These ARE TRUE policemen and women- They save lives- they do NOT send infected people into nursing homes knowing full well that literally 1000’s of great American citizens, who played by the rules all their lives- lived and worked hard decent jobs, would end up catching the virus and dying a horrible horrible death

Sherrif- thank you for common sense statement! the gov there would rather arrest law abiding citizens than domestic terrorists in antifa and blm - Thank you for standing up to your gov and up for ALL citizens in that state-
I happened to have occasion to go into a local business this morning. One of the owners was there, in fact the only other person in the establishment. He looked at me and pulled his mask down without a word. I did the same. We conducted our business just like it was 2019 and went on with our lives. Gee, almost like covid isn’t really a factor. Defiance is spreading.
This does not end until enough folks say its over and move on with their lives

When the SHTF, go after the ones WHO GIVE THE ORDERS. Find out where they work, their travel routes and routines, and vulnerabilities.

Here in Florida we can go and do pretty much any damned thing we want.
Thank you Gov. DeSantis for not being a boob like Cuomo or Whitmer.
The politicians are demanding that the police "go after" mask-scofflaws* because those interactions tend not to escalate (because the involved citizens - though disgruntled - will usually not resist arrest or invoke violence).
I expect also that, in most of such interactions, the police will be stopping individual citizens (not mobs) during daylight hours (not at night-time) to issue them a citation.
In contrast, the rioters almost always congregate in swarms and prefer to act under cover of night.
In short: It's simply easier and less fraught with the danger of escalation (and the concomitant political fall-out) for politicians to order the police to cite mask-scofflaws*.

In the religious freedom ruling, Alito alluded to the abuse of all our Constitutional freedoms. Smart attorneys would start gathering plaintiffs to file class action suits against politicians in all states for class action suits. Imagine how much money they could make. I would let them keep all they collect.
