Predicting a historic presidential move, based solely on a retweet: really Alisyn?
On CNN's New Day on Thursday morning, co-host Alisyn Camerota, referencing President Trump's retweet of Rep. Matt Gaetz's tweet suggesting that the president pardon himself, said:
"It seems clear this is going to happen."
"Clear?" Camerota offered no evidence beyond the retweet in support of her bold assertion.

Pardon himself for what? There are no pending Federal issues anymore. There are some pesky NYS investigations and a lawsuit or two but he can’t pardon himself for those.

The ramifications of them going after Trump on criminal charges are huge. It will rally Trump supporters more than anything in the past has. It also means that when Trump’s party takes the presidency again, the gloves will finally be off and we won’t have more weak-willie-barr crap.
I say Trump’s party because I’m not sure the Republican party survives criminal charges against Trump. The global-free-trade, open-borders, eternal-war weak sister Republicans will wring their hands and talk about how we need to let the system make a judgment, hoping to get their party back when Trump goes down.
But they have already lost the party — their ideology was built in the 70’s and 80’s and the world has changed, the soviets are no longer an existential threat, we are energy independent so the middle east is way down in importance, and China has proven they are not a legitimate free-trading partner but a rapacious merchantilist bent on world domination and using free trade as a weapon to achieve that — there’s no going back to the comfy globalist free-trade open-borders world. They will be slaughtered in primaries if they do not support Trump full-throatedly. That cleanses the party of the Romneys and Kasichs and Ryans and Colin Larsens. It is then up to Trump’s successor to mold the new coalition that will dominate American politics for fifty years. I doubt that new coalition calls it self Republican.
How bout the “Great American Party.”
It might work if Biden wins the steal.

What you’re doing is exactly what the deep state does. When they lose, they claim their opponent lost. When they commit a crime they accuse us of doing it.
As for our discussion—the ones who didn’t kill the king is the deep state, and they will feel nothing but pain, more pain, and pain till the end of time.
