The parents of slain Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich have settled a lawsuit against Fox News for fueling a conspiracy theory about his murder.
The terms of the deal, announced in a Manhattan Federal Court filing, were not disclosed.
“We are pleased with the resolution of the claims and hope this enables Mr. and Mrs. Rich to find a small degree of peace and solace moving forward,” Fox News said in a statement.
Attorneys for parents Joel and Mary Rich did not respond to a request for comment.

I don’t follow his Rich’s parents closely, but over the years, they have seemed completely incurious about anything besides the “robbery gone wrong” narrative may have occurred.
Do they have to refund the settlement when it is revealed that Seth was the source of the Wikileaks’ emails?
The parents don’t care that that the dnc killed their son. But are more then happy to profit from his death. There are some really bad people in this country.

Growing up around gangsters, the stick worked pretty well on a lot of people.
And I’m betting the deep state’s sticks are far more scarier than anything mobsters can think up.
Private settlements should be against the law.
If there’s a court involved, the public has a right and a
need to know all the details.
Why? If there is no public money involved, why do you have a “right” to know?

Jim Brady’s family and Gabby Giffords family gladly signed up to be used by the anti-2nd Amendment forces. Travon Martin’s mother, who had thrown Travon out, has found playing the mourning mother to be a gig that pays for decades.
It’s an outlandish conspiracy theory for them to claim he was robbed and then killed when the assassin took nothing but his life.
I was told that the libel suit was because of someone else named in some coverage of the theory.
You CANNOT libel Seth. He’s dead. You cannot libel the dead.
I thought they’d said his brother was libeled as well.

I am glad that their son’s death was able to achieve the meaninglessness they sought, however.

Nothing new here. What about Mary Joe Kopechne's family?
They never got over losing her. They deserved money for loss of everything a child can provide for a parent in their old age. They did not get rich from the Kennedys.
