Efram Zimbalist must be turning in his grave. I'm watching last night's episode of the FBI TV series. It is set in New York City, which in real life is being tor apart by left wing local politicians and their BLM and Antifa friends. Who are the bad guys in the series? A white supremacist group with a patriotic name. This series is off my list.
What did you expect ? Stalinazis have control over “entertainment.” Don’t expect them to make actual patriots look like anything other than enemies of the state.
Of course!
Actually, I'm surprised they didn't have to go after Russians seeking to fix the election.
I turned it off as soon as they started looking for right wing extremists. I could also see where the new black agent story is/was going.
I barely made it thru the rich white liberals discussing all whites are racist.
I don’t like the Efrem Zimbalist series either.
Or the Jimmy Stewart movie.
The FBI is the Cheka. Same people.
Have the Nazis become passé? The major threat according to the real FBI is white supremacists.
More security state propaganda. There have been a stream of them. 24, Homeland, the Americans, SWAT, Navy SEALs, FBI, Pine Gap, Jack Ryan..etc.
All follow the premise that they are keeping us safe, and “if we only knew what they did “.
There were similar TV shows in the USSR where the KGB was the hero.
In the 1970s the go to bad (evil) guy was the returning Viet Nam Veteran. So there is nothing new coming out of Hollywood.
Thanks for the warning. I have it set to record but will cancel and erase.
I was listening to a book & had that on to make sure I didn’t miss the premiere of the show following it, Big Sky. Thanks for filling in what my eyes were seeing. As for EZ and the FBI in general, my view is diametrically opposite that of Hannity who clearly can’t see the forest for the trees.
Her partner on the show is Muslim. Nope, ain't watching.
All those CBS shows are designed to acclimate viewers that the Feds are in charge of everything.
If someone looking like LL Cool J comes running toward me hollering 'Federal Agent!', I'm gonna laugh in his face.
Efram Zimbalist was a propagandist in his day. He helped build the notion that the FBI and law enforcement should be trusted. When government, or any organization for that matter, gets to a place where it unquestionably trusted it invites criminals and others of malintent to operate under its veil of trust. We see this time and time again. It happens in business. It happens in the church. It happens in government. It happens in every walk of life.
Various TV writers have been on record saying they think their job is to promote “social and racial justice”. They have been doing this for at least 40 years. So you should be surprised when they preach this message to you.
Personally, I have not watched sitcoms or TV dramas since the 90s. (I made a notable exception for Seinfeld) You know the message you will get before they even say it, conservative what people are bad, conservative black people are sell outs or naive, men are stupid, liberal women are the intelligent ones and always get the upper hand and above all all liberals are “enlightened”.
I am not in the mood to be preached to so I just don’t watch...no matter what they try and revive.
The Americans showed KGB agents posing as a typical family but acted as viscous thugs. The FBI counter-intelligence let them operate under their nose.
Yeah, and that show came out right at the moment Russia became the national boogie man again. Russians can be anywhere! Even that normal family next door, grilling burgers!
It’s all propaganda.
I like the Untouchables theme better.
