After $15 billion and 450 miles, Joe Biden will halt border wall, Trump’s signature project
The Dallas Morning News ^ | Nov. 11, 2020 | Todd J. Gillman

Mexico never paid for any of it. It’s less than half finished. And on Jan. 20 or soon thereafter, construction will come to an abrupt halt on the “big beautiful wall” that President Donald Trump promised to build along the U.S.-Mexico border.

The project has cost $15 billion so far, most of it diverted from the military budget after Congress refused to provide full funding.

President-elect Joe Biden vowed during the campaign to kill the project, but leave in place whatever the Trump administration leaves behind.

At the moment, that’s about 400 miles worth of levee wall and 30-foot-tall bollard fencing, though nearly all of that mileage already had some sort of barrier before Trump took office. Only 12 miles did not.

Agreed. If the elections can be stolen like this Presidential election was and I expect how 2 Senate elections will be stolen in January in Georgia, than what is the point? 80 million people could vote for President Trump but strangely 85 million votes will “happen” for the democrat.

This is the world we live in, folks and it is the kind of stuff that gets countries labeled as banana republics.

I love all these quitters around here( not you, the clown you’re replied to)

They can’t put 2 and 2 together and realize if we don’t win this fraud show, we ain’t winning again.

If all else fails, over 50 million voters not only don’t believe in the outcome, but many are armed, many of those crack shots, and many of those with military training, and many of those with military experience, and many of those were officers. There’s a federalist paper that treats of that subject, but I don’t have a copy handy to look it up. Anyone have the federalist number I’m talking about?

If somehow things don’t go his way, he will definitely have to leave. The law suits the Left has circling above his head would put Saturn’s rings to shame! The Left truly does plan to destroy that man. Totally unabated intention to destroy him, and they will use the courts. President Trump simply cannot fail proving the election case, because doing so would be an extinction level event. And that is not hyperbole.

"This is a great reason for Trump to comeback in 2024, to finish the wall."

Eight more years with PDJT? :)

When DS is locked up, Our Wall will be finished by 2022.

This is such a disingenuous statement.

New wall vs. old vehicle barrier. The old doesn’t do much to impede foot traffic.

Yes, this. The Marxist Dems will never relinquish control again without a war.

If Trump is not sworn-in for his second term in January, we will never have a non-Derp State Stalinazi allowed to win the White House again.

Why are we upset?

The Bible plainly shows the world going to Hell in the Last Days.

Is there ANYONE here that thinks they are NOT close upon us??

mexico was paying for it (indirectly) through the repeal of nafta and its replacement by Trump with a better trade deal.

>> Two, they cheated this time and there will be no consequences. You will never see another free and fair election in America.

I disagree. I have never in my life been more optimistic about the future of this country. All this fraud - a sting operation by the Trump team to catch the fraudsters. The purpose was not merely to win 2020 for Trump. The purpose was to clean up all future elections.

Pre-Trump, this country had, at any given time, between 1000 and 2000 sealed federal indictments. Now there are over 185,000. I don’t believe they have been piling up for no reason. Why are they still sealed? My answer: Because you don’t play the Trump card randomly. You wait until it is needed to assure victory.

Trump has about 185,000 Trump cards waiting for the right moment to be played.

(P.S. Many other reasons for my optimism, but this one is the easiest to point at and explain.)

An interesting point in the article, is that the Army has refused to turn the contracts over to Democrats for review, so they don’t know if the standard termination clauses are included.

There could be some “legal land mines” in the way of Democrats seeking to halt existing contracts.

I’m encouraged you feel optimistic, but be aware: If the fraud succeeds, the Democrats will ensure all charges are dropped and that the remaining antifraud laws are repealed.

$15billion is for 738 miles.

It averages more like $20 million per mile, but costs vary widely by type and terrain.

Under $5 million per mile for some West of El Paso, in flat desert, along good pre-existing road. Up to $40 million per mile in rugged mountains, with no existing road.
