Problem is votes through tuesday were mixed (deliberately) with votes that came in after tuesday and there is no way to separate the two.

This clear violation of the US Constitution by the state court is going to come down to a 5-4 decision in the USSC. The four Leftist judges do not honor the Constitution so the decision on who will be President is going to be up to one person, John Roberts who has already ruled against Trump and by ignoring the US Constitution on the Pennsylvania election changes made by the state courts -- not the state legislature which is required specifically by the US Constitution -- by ruling that the USSC does not have jurisdiction over the states in this matter.

Any thoughts on how this is going to turn out?

That is the question.

This should have been addressed during the Nixon JFK election where the Chicago outfit threw that election to JFK. Since then, it has been WAY out of hand.

BTW, Nixon let it slide for the good of the nation. So, I think it is up to the candidate.

I hope and pray Trump takes it all the way. Let it boil over and settle this crap once and for all.
This is a strict violation of our civil rights. EVERYONES civil rights. Voting and the first amendment, and the second, are our most valued civil rights. Heck, the first ten amendments are the most basic and important.

Yes, Roberts shirked his duty, but, the result is that it invalidates ALL the rest of the states elections.

He will have to make a very nasty and hard choice here. Either he rules for the union of states, or he rules for “A” state.

If He rules for “A” state, then I personally will lobby my state reps to declare the union disolved. Civil war..

As I read it..Washingtons election was in Jan. BUT, back then, they voted for electors and the electors cast the vote in each state at the legislature.

So..I might be wrong but, if it comes to it, the SCOTUS could say, since we cant let each and every state re-do the election, then it becomes the responsibility of the legislature to cast the votes-ONE vote, for each state at the direction of each states legislatures. So count the republican majority of the states and we get the total of votes that should be cast for the candidates. Hint...the republicans hold the majority of the state legislatures.

Now..that is if it gets to that. NEW ground..and in no way would I want to be in the SCOTUS shoes. This will result in mass civil unrest.

It would result in mass civil unrest, from a populace which sees itself as directly electing a president, which does not understand the function of the Electoral College, which does not understand or care about their state legislature and what it does, which is swayed by emotion and impulse and whatever Twitter and Facebook and the network news organs churn out. Not a curious soul in the lot of them. Our educational system has failed them. Most probably could not pass a civics exam given to new citizens.

Now who would be able to get out in front of them and calm them, and reassure them, "Our system still works"?

I remember when Nixon was on the verge of being impeached and chose to resign, our leaders (such as they were) assured us "no President is above the law, our system still works." I remember when the nation went through Bush v. Gore and some people were wondering who their president was, they needed to be reminded that we still had a president through the following January and it would turn out all right, the system still works.

This nation has less patience and more stupidity than the voting population around in the days of Watergate and the turn of the millennium. There's a much shorter news cycle, thanks to the Internet and social media, much less curiosity, much less patience, much shorter tempers.

Exactly what I was saying. The general population has NO CLUE. Nor do they care.

BTW, I might be going a little conspiracy crazy here but, I believe this is exactly what the communist countries want.

Mass civil war, anarchy and then take over.

No, the point is they could just roll back to the count they had as of Tuesday evening.

IIRC, there’s not just one state where they mixed late mail-ins with the on-time ballots.

So, the USSC would then be in a sticky situation regarding more than one state.

Agreed. I think it went on all over. And in the big blue states of California and New York as well.

Have you missed the news?

The "four leftist judges" you describe is now only three, since Ruth Bader Ginsberg died.

So if John Roberts wants to vote with the leftists, he would only be a FOURTH vote with that side, not a fifth.

Oh YA! They have a hell of a problem. And NOT of their making.

But here is the fact. Only ONE state election has to be ruled invalid-that makes ALL states invalid. AND, they simply CAN NOT allow that state to re-vote. All states have to re-vote in that case.

Indeed....’Expectations’ today are like putting a fast-food order in the drive-up and picking it up at the next window ready to eat. No thought to the entire process of bringing their meal from the farm to their front seat table.

They see Government likewise.....politicians should do this and that in record pace.

That is a nice way out.

I hypothesized something like that in September.

Here is a new theory on how the Democrats will steal the election without resorting to massive vote fraud.

Democrats will politically refuse to certify elections in states where President Trump wins but Democrats control.

Here's an example...

What if in 2016, Trump lost Pennsylvania (20 EV) and Wisconsin (10 EV)? That would have made the Electoral College 276-262, and Trump would still have won.

Now suppose that Michigan (16 EV), which Trump won 47.6% to 47.4%, politically chose to delay certifying the vote and not send their Electors to the Electoral College. This would have made the Electoral Vote 262-260 Clinton in an Electoral College with only 522 appointed Electors. The threshold to win would have been a majority of APPOINTED Electors, or 262.

Clinton would have won in 2016 in this scenario, because Michigan chose to withhold their 16 Trump Electors from participating in the Electoral College.

We need to be on the lookout for this scenario in 2020. We need to watch for Democrat-controlled states that refuse to certify their Trump wins to manipulate the Electoral College for Biden.

It's funny how the same three states are in play now with shenanigans going on.

Personally, I'd prefer to see the state legislature stand up for their people and take care of business directly instead of punting it to the House of Representatives where yet another body has the time to plot yet another end-around.

All three of those states have Republican legislators even though the governors are Democrats.

If the governor tells the Secretary of State or state election board to refuse to certify the election in any of those states, the legislature can simply vote to send a slate of electors to the Electoral College themselves.
