(I have been talking about this possibility for several days)
HERE IS THE INTERESTING PART:
According to various scenarios, however, leaders of several swing-state, Republican-majority legislatures, using their federal constitutional authority, might appoint separate slates of electors, thereby setting up conflicts with the presumptively faithful electors certified by state executive authorities. This could happen in key states like Pennsylvania, where the governor is a Democrat but the legislature is controlled by Republicans. Legislatures might claim, for example, a fraud-riven popular vote that renders the state-certified electors unrepresentative of the legitimate popular vote. Or they might claim that the vote count is proceeding too slowly to allow the state to meet the December deadlines. Court battles would no doubt ensuesee Bush v. Gore (2000).

Waiting for a comment, Larry. If the roles were reversed, the Dems would do this in a heartbeat.
If we lose we lose, take the loss, rebuild and win in 2022 and 2024
I thought the Supreme Court ruled against it?
SCOTUS has made rulings about timing of vote count. They have not ruled on the power of the state legislature to award electors despite the popular vote in the state. Fraud would be a very good reason to do so.
Explain why you feel a Republican candidate for President would win in 2024.
Nonsense.
So you give this country away after a fraudulently-stolen election, Venezuela-style?
there won’t be anything left in 2022 or 2024.
Dems are playing for all the marbles this time.
we won’t win 2024, or any there after. this election is all we needed to know. Unless we pass some federal strict voter laws, we’ll never get the presidency again
>> If we lose we lose, take [this 2020 loss]
The political environment won’t stand still until 2022. We must continue fighting for today’s vote.
Same reason one did in 2016, the American public gets tired of democrats.
The reason the American public voted against Trump was because of Trump overload, he is ALWAYS in the news (the media was doing this on purpose to over saturate). Trump screwed himself on Covid and those daily press briefings, he should have left the medical science to the doctors and actually did less of them. Nancy screwed him royally on the Cares act.
Hired a better and more loyal administration.
President Trump made a boatload of mistakes
But he also had a ton of policy success
No more. I gotta unplug myself from the last 36 hours. I feel like I’ve been shelled. Listening to Vivaldi tonight.
true but a leg that went exactly opposite the pop vote would be sued.
Fight what? We are probably going to lose Georgia and Arizona, we should own those states, we have a big electoral problem, Texas is becoming more competitive while blue states are getting more solid. We give up and try to go for the easy wins, which did work in the 2000’s with GWB but population shift are causing once traditional republican states to be more purple.
I am not saying Trump should not give up, but we should be prepared to lose. We didn’t do as well as we should have.
Those days are over, dude. We are not going back. This movement needs to be transformational and Donald J. Trump is our last chance.
PFFT, never going to happen. Do nothing PA state legislators, majority GOP, did nothing to stop the fraud there.
At a minimum we want to exhaust every possible legal recourse.
That is a _minimum_ of what needs to be done.
We need to take the fight to their backyard. They get 84 Electoral Votes in CA and NY without having to expend any resources. That needs to change. But the GOP lacks the will to do it.
Constitutional Amendment to adopt the KS and ME model nationwide...but that is really tilting at windmills.
Nevertheless, I will “dream the impossible dream”!
Example: California. Where Republicans have been gerrymandered, voter frauded and vote harvested to near extinction.
