DETROIT On the eve of Election Day, Michigan voters swarmed to polling sites to cast their ballots, in many cases braving long lines and unforgiving weather to ensure their voices were heard in what some described as the most consequential election of their lifetimes.
The secretary of states office reported some 2.9 million absentee ballots had been cast about 60 percent of the ballots cast in Michigan in 2016. Nationwide, at least 98 million people already have voted, about 70 percent of the total vote from four years ago.....
A hospital worker, Mary, emerged from the building, and said it had taken her two hours to cast her ballot. She was scheduled to work a double shift Tuesday, and the only way she could vote was to call in sick Monday. She asked that her last name not be used because she feared she would be in trouble with her employer.
The risk, she said, was worth it because I want Trump out office.

Dang, I better finish my cup of coffee and get in line!
Trump must win the battleground states by at least 5% to overcome the Demoncrat fraud!
Hey Washington ComPost, is that fear I smell oozing from your “article”?
So they have gone from anonymous sources to anonymous voters with nurse Mary. LMAO
Ah yes, the Compost finding the Detroit lib who has hate in their heart.
I think they just made her up like they always do.
For some reason, I don't trust Scotch-Irish reporters.
COVID-19 requires mail-in voting? BS. These people didn't think so.
LOL
In the line at my polling station in Alabama. Got here at 630 and lot was full and line a mile long. Been voting here for 20 years and never ever seen anything like this.
The commies getting those multiple votes in early I see.
The left was able to get their way in that a phenomenal amount of lazy people who would never show up to vote, mailed in a vote for their guy.
It should have never been allowed.
We shall see what happens today.
I have to go pick up the old folks in the family and take them to vote now
Just cast my votes, after standing in line for about 1/2 hour. The line was waiting for them to open.
It’s not cold and Michiganders know this. We will get cold weather eventually but this aint it.
I am 40 minutes south of the bridge.
Lets see. Which partys supporters have shown over the past 3 weeks that they are willing to stand in line for hours, often in very cold conditions, to exercise their rights to freedom of assembly and freedom of speech? Sleepy Joes crew wont wake before noon.
Daughter and I voted in Macomb County - Washington Twp where Trump was Sunday. I was 41 out of my precinct. Line out the door. Took 45 minutes and we arrived promptly at 7. Parking lot nearly full. They scan drivers license and used optical ballots. Some Trump shirts in the line. Area is heavily pro-Trump so I would say good turnout.
We both voted for Trump/Pence, John James, and Lisa McClain. Also for Republicans on the Supreme Court.
How many Mary’s call in sick on any given day ?
War Eagle.
Same here.

My Fake News alarm is ringing on this one. The narrative is too perfect. “Font-line” nurse. Double shift. Evil employer. ...and of course voting against Trump.
