Mathematical proof of the merits of the Electoral College:
“Math Against Tyranny”.

That’s a different metric. In that regard, FDR is the equivalent of Tom Brady.
Yogi actually said “We made too many wrong mistakes.” As if there is a right mistake. That’s what qualifies it as a Yogi-ism.
Gino Cimoli said it best: They broke all the records and we won the game.

Poor Art Ditmar... was not the pitcher who threw that homerun ball to Bill Mazeroski in the 1960 world series (it was Ralph Terry)... but the announcer mistakenly said “Art Ditmar Throws... Theres a swing and a high fly ball...”
That audio became one of the most famous baseball plays in history.

Also interestingly, the announcer, after the excitement died down, said the Pirates won by a score of 10-0. (It was 10-9)
We had em all the way!
Dig the fence...it's a REAL fence and woodlands beyond it. They don't do it like that anymore.
Trump: “Knock, knock.”
Hillary: “Who’s there?”
Trump: “Hillary.”
Hillary: “Wha’? Okay... Hillary who?”
Trump: “Zackly.”
Trump: “Knock, knock.”

Electoral college. Ask Hilly and Gore.

If you want to continue the fun, you might remind them that Trump took 30 states to Hilly’s 20. And he was smart enough to take the right ones.

I’ve always felt a connection to that game. My parents are both from Pittsburgh and were both baseball fans. I was 1 year old and Dad was in the USMC stationed at Kaneohe Marine Air Station on the island of Oahu. The family lived there for 3 years - encompassing the time of Hawaiian statehood (I was born in the Territory of Hawaii).
They didn’t find out who won the game until the next day.
Years later, growing up in Pittsburgh, I was a big Bill Mazeroski fan, and heard the story from my parents about how it took such a long time for news to reach Hawaii about the game, and even longer for a video reel to reach the island to be broadcast.
