In the 2019 Wimbledon Men's Finals, Roger Federer won 36 games and 218 points vs Novak Djokovic's 32 games and 204 points...and lost.

Mathematical proof of the merits of the Electoral College:

That’s a different metric. In that regard, FDR is the equivalent of Tom Brady.

Yogi actually said “We made too many wrong mistakes.” As if there is a right mistake. That’s what qualifies it as a Yogi-ism.

Or, how about Doc Ellis, who walked eight Padres batters and hit another one, but allegedly pitched a no hitter on June 12, 1970 against the Padres while on LSD.

Gino Cimoli said it best: “They broke all the records and we won the game.”

Say what we will about the Yankees, but they win this "game" (I don't know what that game is, but it's an epic win):

Poor Art Ditmar... was not the pitcher who threw that homerun ball to Bill Mazeroski in the 1960 world series (it was Ralph Terry)... but the announcer mistakenly said “Art Ditmar Throws... There’s a swing and a high fly ball...”

That audio became one of the most famous baseball plays in history.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=65Og0gUKfvc&ab_channel=MrBuccos

Also interestingly, the announcer, after the excitement died down, said the Pirates won by a score of 10-0. (It was 10-9)

We had em all the way!

Wow...thanks for that bit of history.

Dig the fence...it's a REAL fence and woodlands beyond it. They don't do it like that anymore.

Trump: “Knock, knock.”
Hillary: “Who’s there?”
Trump: “Hillary.”
Hillary: “Wha’? Okay... Hillary who?”
Trump: “Zackly.”

Trump: “Knock, knock.”
Hillary: “Who’s there.”
Trump: “Bill and Chelsea.”
Hillary: “Bill and Chelsea who.”
Trump: “Billin’ Chelsea for all the cheap shots she takes at my supporters!”

Trump: “Knock, knock... C’mon, last one... Knock, knock.”
Hillary: “Jeebus, Donald, what or who—”
Trump: “Huma.”
Hillary: “Oh, no! I’m not gonna—”
Trump: “Whoma gonna get to play along with any more of my knock-knock jokes?”

The 2013 Denver Broncos scored an NFL record 606 points during the season, and lost the Super Bowl to the Seattle Seahawks.

If anyone in my family brings up the "popular vote" nonsense, I just remind them that the Dem total is ALWAYS padded with millions of illegal votes from "undocumented" foreigners, convicted felons, dead people, pets 'voting' on mail-in ballots requested by their owners, etc.

Pisses 'em off, but shuts 'em down every time...

According to Kamala Harris, it is racist if every game does not end in a tie.

“It’s how many games you won that matters.”

Electoral college. Ask Hilly and Gore.

If you want to continue the fun, you might remind them that Trump took 30 states to Hilly’s 20. And he was smart enough to take the right ones.

I’ve always felt a connection to that game. My parents are both from Pittsburgh and were both baseball fans. I was 1 year old and Dad was in the USMC stationed at Kaneohe Marine Air Station on the island of Oahu. The family lived there for 3 years - encompassing the time of Hawaiian statehood (I was born in the Territory of Hawaii).

They didn’t find out who won the game until the next day.

Years later, growing up in Pittsburgh, I was a big Bill Mazeroski fan, and heard the story from my parents about how it took such a long time for news to reach Hawaii about the game, and even longer for a video reel to reach the island to be broadcast.
