In 2016, the polling averages showed Hillary Clinton with a three-point lead over Donald Trump. She ended up winning the popular vote by two points but losing the Electoral College.
This year, the polling averages give Joe Biden a much bigger advantage—7 percentage points. My polling for JustTheNews.com over the past month has also consistently shown the former Vice President with a 7 or 8 point advantage.The strength of Biden’s position is also evident in my Battleground State polling here at PoliticalIQ.In the three midwestern states that shocked the world and put the president over the top in 2016, my final polls show Biden leading by seven in Michigan, six in Wisconsin, and six in Pennsylvania. Four years ago, the polls showed much closer races in Michigan and Pennsylvania.
In Florida and North Carolina, a pair of must-win states for Trump, my latest 2020 numbers show Biden up by four points and one point respectively. Bluntly, the president cannot be re-elected without winning both of those states.
Possibly the most troubling numbers for the president in my polls come from two states where he’s ahead—Texas and Montana. He leads by just four points in each of these previously solid Republican states. On top of that, the candidates are tied in Iowa, a state Trump won by nearly ten points in 2016.
Obviously, surprises are possible. Many of these competitive states could end up in either the Republican or the Democratic column. That’s particularly true of North Carolina, Iowa, and Florida. So, we don’t know exactly what the Electoral College vote totals will look like. But the data clearly suggests that when all the votes are counted, Joe Biden will be the president-elect.

Weird from Rasmussen. Even the most biased of polls show this narrowing.
Early voting was the worst thing to happen to pollsters. It takes their polls based on sampling and matches them against votes based on data, actual data.
I respect Rasmussen, but I think he is off here. We are in the final stages of this campaign and I just don’t see the kind of momentum needed to have in person voters break that strongly for Biden, which is what he needs.
Who knows, we have all based our assumptions on the fact that the dems would not show at the polls for in person voting in the numbers needed and that the Republicans would. If that assumption is incorrect, then I can see Rasmussen being somewhat correct. But I am not seeing it.
Tremendous numbers of Democrats have voted early. I think Trump will win but I don’t understand how people think they know by seeing the size or lack thereof at a rally.
This is about trump. Love him or hate him.
We shouldn’t be so flippant of polls, given they were right in 2018. But Rassmussen sounds a wee bit Pollyanish.
It will be fascinating to see what areas have 130% turnout, and ALL of the late ballots counted, going to Biden.
They must think we are stupid.

So this guy has nothing to do with the Rasmussen poll that correctly called the popular vote (2 point spread) in 2016
he must have gotten tired of polling and showing the true numbers.
He claims that his number has biden leading by 4 in FL, that is not possible.
Scott Rasmussen doesn’t work for Rasmussen any more.

The future of our democratic republic is hanging in the balance. This election is not only important for America but it is critical for the enslaved people of China whose fates will be sealed for centuries if Trumps loses and the globalists fool the world. I have not been so concerned since the Cuban Missile Crisis.
If Biden does win through the corrupt manipulation of the press and the pandemic fears it will crush the spirit of all the millions of Trump supporters who have placed their hopes and dreams on his winning. We must hope for victory but not be destroyed if we don’t prevail for some reason.
