President Trump recently tweeted: “The Fake News is talking about CASES, CASES, CASES. This includes many low risk people. Media is doing everything possible to create fear prior to November 3rd. The Cases are up because TESTING is way up, by far the most, and best, in the world. Mortality rate is DOWN 85% plus!”
The president is right. On any objective measure, the pandemic is waning. We are now in what many call a “casedemic” — a swell of positive tests due largely to enormous surges in testing. And the media is, for the most part, using this to induce maximum fear in the electorate.
But much of what the press is calling cases are mislabeled. Before 2020, every health professional knew the difference between cases and infections. Cases referred to patients with symptoms seeking treatment, who test positive for an infection. But not all infections become cases.
An infection refers to the presence of active virus in someone’s body. Many of these infected people don’t need treatment because they have mild or even no symptoms. False positives complicate the picture a bit: These are those who get tested and are mistakenly told they are infected. Still, public health officials always knew the difference between a case, a mere infection, and a positive test (which may or may not signal a real infection).
That’s all changed. In 2020, public health officials seemed to forget all that old stuff they knew in 2019 — at least when talking to the press. Now the press assumes that every positive test signals an infection, that every infection rises to the level of a case, and that every case means serious illness with a major risk of death.

Contact tracers will suddenly decide that a whole lot of Republican voters need to be quarantined.
I am concerned that this case count will result in Poll changes as some Poll workers may not show up and mass confusion will result in chaos and then people won’t know where to vote and they will kill the huge expected Trump election day turn out
The reported number of cases will continue to increase until election day. If Biden is elected, the cases will start to fall at noon on Jan 20. Biden will win the Nobel peace prize for not being Trump (the citation will be for restoring US participation in international institutions) and the Nobel prize in medicine for ending the pandemic.
of course, the only voters these fools are suppressing is their own brainwashed Democrat base who’ve they terrified with a steady stream of covid propaganda that they’ve bought hook, line, and sinker from listening exclusively to lying propagandists like NPR, NBC, CNN, and MSNBC ....
1) Biden and Harris have run a terrible campaign.
2) Their campaign is now all but suspended.
3) They put little emphasis on GOTV
4) Vote By Mail is down from their expectation and has failed them.
5) Current fear-mongering about the Virus will suppress more Democrat voters than Republican voters.
A) The polls still show that Biden is going great.
B) The media insists that Biden is doing great.
If Trump wins in a landslide (which I think he will) the Left is going to push Russian collusion / stolen election / Trump cheated / second term more illegitimate than the first term.
I think the Democrats are TRYING to lose big so that they can push the CHAOS button even more.

As I stated yesterday in an election/Covid thread, in Palm Beach and Broward Counties, FL, people are being paid for their transportation and time to get a free Covid-19 test. Signs all over PB County say to call a (954) area code number, which is Broward. I so wish I had taken pictures.
They’re really playing up Covid this week.
Yup, here in rural MO, I’ll be voting at the local volunteer firehouse just as I did during the primary. Just walk right in, no mask required. It’s run by three older women and in the primaries, at the height of our minimal restrictions, one had a mask on her chin and the other two had no masks. I doubt any of them will be wearing masks this time and I certainly won’t be. Even walmart here gave up and took down their masks required signs. Only people wearing masks are employees who’s employers are requiring it, mainly large chains or any store that has food. I do see a few older people and the occasional Karens wearing them. Other than that, life goes on normal because no one here watches cnn/msnbc etc.
There are two countries in one when it comes to news. cnn/msnbc type watchers know nothing about the Biden’s dealings and fox/oann watchers don’t get the covid fear porn.
What else they got?
They’re doing the same thing here in Utah! Breathlessly reporting an increase number of cases, but NEVER mention deaths! This is because deaths from COVID-19 are plummeting!
