Just cancelled my Wall Street Journal subscription, and you should too
Wall Street Journal ^ | 10/28/2020 | Me

Posted on 10/28/2020 6:33:39 AM PDT by edwinland

Go to wsj.com and search wsj.com. Not a single mention of his explosive interview last night, and the mountains of proof he provided.

Indeed there not a single actual news story which so much as mentions the name Bobulinski.

The WSJ news staff are all democrats and they are blocking any mention of his name.

The editorial staff is generally conservative and they have mentioned him but mostly in opinion pieces critiquing the media.

Therefore the Wall Street Journal is not a newspaper since they are actively suppressing actual news.

They, like other media sources, have become a local office of the DNC.

If you want to support the DNC please subscribe, or continue your subscription. Otherwise now is a good time to cancel.

Canceled mine probably ten years ago after subscribing continuously for 30 years or more.

Your reasoning is questionable. The Wall Street Journal is controlled by Rupert Murdoch via Dow Jones Publications, which is owned by Murdoch’s News Corp. Why one aspect of the Murdoch empire blocks Fox News, whose Carlson program had the largest cable TV viewership ever, makes no business sense.

God, you people look for reasons to get pissed off.

The WSJ addressed the fake news surrounding its “position”:

https://www.wsj.com/articles/the-press-of-conformity-11603660797

The editorial board pointed out the Kimberly Strassel did a thorough piece on the scandal, and the paper's position was being misrepresented by the mainstream media.

“””” It’ll be on the web page today or in the paper tomorrrow.”””””

They will do a complete story on it...in a month or two.

The Opinion Editor was on Fox and Friends this AM trying to ingratiate himself with Brian....
...but at one point Brian said ‘I didn’t see any headline in your paper today or even an article!’

The guy at least looked a bit guilty

They have mentioned him in the news several times. Your upset because they are not reporting on your timeline?

I am not happy with some of not most m of the news writers but I will give them a few days to write a real news piece instead of just reacting to the news.

Freeman, Strassel, Gay, McGurn, Riley, Baker..are all worth the subscription. They are irreplaceable in this war.

I was as well. I won’t take advise on the WSJ for someone who cannot perform a basic search.

Strassel is one of the best in the nation. I suspect she is very frustrated about the blackout at the WSJ.

Our local Leftist rag subscription is up Nov 15 & will not be renewed. It would have been cancelled years ago, but my elderly dad couldn’t give up the sports section - he’s finally had enough. The paper has gotten thinner & turned hard Left & the price goes up all the time - now costing $672/year!! We are cancelling the paper & have signed up for garbage service ($216/yr) so it’s win-win .... getting rid of the trash in 2 ways AND saving money!!

Murdoch owns Fox, the NY Post, and the WSJ. Maybe the WSJ has more liberal editors now?
Article is talking about the rest of the paper, not the editorial page.

The editorial page was, in its heyday before Open Borders, conservative - but the body of the paper never was. Except to the extent that, in a business paper, good news is actually news, along with the bad.

I understand the thread-starter’s point, but I recently re-upped because even now I look forward to the paper. And I don’t need any unforced changes in my life at present - the forced ones are quite enough, thank you.

I just went to the WSJ home page, clicked on the search button, typed in “Bobulinski” and the 4th-listed result was “ Hunter Biden’s Ex-Business Partner Alleges Father Knew About Venture”, a non-opinion article that was updated on October 23, 2020 at 9:29 AM ET.

Looks like the article has most of the information Tucker covered with Bobulinski last night, so maybe the WSJ didn’t think they needed to cover it again this morning....

WSJ not so bad. Kimbrtley Strassel, Dan Hennnger. But, I have never understood why they pair up with NBC for polling.

I’m in DC. Got fed up with the WaPo, I dunno, ‘97 or so (last straw was a front-page anti-NRA editorial posing as a news story about re-funding the Civilian Marksmanship Program).

Bought one since then (the big headline was “Clinton Impeached”.)

I’m glad we have the Wash. Times.

I still buy WSJ on Saturday (Times doesn’t publish weekends)

I’ve never subscribed & I’m not sticking up for them, but Kimberley Strassel (who writes for them) has been all over this (as well as the Russia hoax & similar lunacy).

Agree. She's great. And she's on the editorial team. As I mentioned:

"The editorial staff is generally conservative and they have mentioned him but mostly in opinion pieces critiquing the media.

Bobulinski .. I changed the order of my initial paragraphs and made the pronoun come before his name.

I described my reasoning. And it is based on discussions with a conservative friend who worked on their news team for twenty years.

According to him, their news staff is almost entirely liberal and as a group they are refusing any mention of Bobulinski's name. Not even if Rupert Murdoch himself went there and ordered them to do it.

They have mentioned him in the opinion section, but not in the news section.

I loved that and a couple other Articles in the OPINION SECTION, which is why I said in my post that The editorial staff is generally conservative and they have mentioned him but mostly in opinion pieces critiquing the media.

HOWEVER

The WSJ news staff are all democrats and they are blocking any mention of his name.
