Here in Middle America, there are small towns where going a couple of miles per hour over the speed limit will get you stopped by the town’s lone police officer. These “speed traps” are dotted throughout the region as, many times, a significant portion of a town’s revenue comes from issuing these tickets.

Do you doubt that, before long, the cameras will be ticketing drivers without masks? And even drivers with masks who have unmasked passengers?
Utah HP will write you a ticket for going 2 mph over.
Was pulled over on Maui one evening as I crept past the cop car going 1mph over. He was just looking around for drunk drivers and that was the reason to stop me.
Put a BLM bumper sticker on your car—and you are good to go!
If I could, I would make a nation wide law that all revenue from moving violations go directly to the state they were issued in, not the local town. You would never see a cop on the side of the road again.
“For your safety my ass”
Thanks, yes in Lord Obama’s 57 states.
Like this vanity plate for Mayor Lightfoot...
(Well, it ought to be!)
RE: Well there is always this option:
Yes, because Cameras don’t shoot back. Try doing that on a roving Police speed camera.
In all 50 states.

Yes.
Just wall that Godforsaken town off from the rest of the United States!
It will be just like the John Carpenter film, only referenced as Escape From Chicago.
RE: Ive always assumed the radar gun slinging cowboys boiling point was 5 over...
That has always been my beef with local government. Instead of the cops focusing their efforts on REAL CRIMINALS, they spend their energies on soccer moms and dads trying to get their kids to school and sport practice.
We have red light cameras where I live and my daughter got a ticket once.( She was turning right on a red light) There’s no way to fight it! I mentioned my idea to a cop and he said, it wouldn’t work because they would see your truck instead of the mayor’s car, however, if you rented a car just like the mayor’s, put a fake tag on it, and started running red lights, then he’d have a problem”
Same.
Politicians see the LEO departments as cash cows first, their personal pimps second, political espionage agents third and when there’s time some light population protection but not to much because it might interfere with the cash flow at the courthouse.
Hopefully Judge Jeanine Pirro will avoid the Windy City. She was clocked a while back going 119 M.P.H.
In Britain they’ve got the angle-grinder bandit. He roams the M25 around outer London cutting down speed cameras. Big, big, hero in the UK.
When Carter had the 55 mph limit nation wide, I was driving my Dad’s car ion Wisconsin. I got stopped & ticketed for ONE mile over the limit.
No wiggle room. State Patrol officer was not smiling one little bit.
One more, All you Shitcago pistol packers need to oil ‘em up ‘cause the latest biggy is: how many shots does it take you to dump a speed camera?
Two categories of competition:
1)Drivers
2)Passenger - front or back.
Three classes of competition:
1)Pistol
2)Shotgun
3)Rifle - up to 7.62x51
All of the above must be shot from a vehicle doing at least the speed limit. Judges decision might be final depending on who the DA is.
We are working on a competition for Urban Snipers. Not finalized as yet but involves distance, lighting conditions, caliber (max = .50 BMG), and natural impediments.
Winners in each category by class.
