OKLAHOMA CITY - Joe Biden is confronting the harsh political realities of combating climate change.

The Democratic presidential nominee has spent months touting a $2 trillion plan to boost investment in clean energy and stop all climate-damaging emissions from the U.S. economy by 2050. The plan implied that he would wean the U.S. off oil and gas, but Biden wasn

There is little to indicate we can run our modern civilization on Green Energy. Maybe it can be done if you consider nuclear energy, Green Energy, and initiate a massive program to build nuclear powered electrical generating plants.

But no one on the Left is proposing this, they’re talking about windmills and solar, which simply can’t do it.

And even if you built the nukes, there is still the question of transportation fuels, because battery tech is still not there to go electric for many use cases.

There is not a diesel-replacement electri engine, to power all the 5- and 10-ton tractor trucks, or locomotives, so when there is, there goes any long-distance hauling.

AP spin, attempting to protect their candidate from voter backlash after Biden opened his mouth and inserted his foot.

Let’s see, the climate change models are similar to the Covid models which say we all died 6 months ago. Yeah think my resolve on all such hoaxes from elite “experts” is pretty low.

“We” do not need to work together.

We need to remove, eliminate all democrats who whine constantly about coming together. Such political influence must be destroyed.

In 2019, net generation of electricity from utility-scale generators in the United States was about 4.1 trillion kilowatthours (kWh).

Here in Virginia we get 400 kWh per year per 250W panel. We would need 10 billion of those 250W panels or about $1 trillion not including installation and batteries (or we'll have blackouts all night long). I spend much more on batteries than on panels. Getting the panels that cheap would guarantee they are shoddy and will create immense hazardous waste in about 20 years when we would start all over.

The other thing that is obvious is that the Democrats have reeled in the riots when they saw that it was becoming a successful campaign issue for Trump. You better believe that the Democrats are controlling and instigating the riots. They want to destroy all infrastructure and replace it with socialism in the “Green Deal”.

Trump destroyed Biden on the Oil issue, but he could have really put it away by explaining how our entire civilization is reliant on Oil. It really seems that Millennials have no understanding that all the products they use are made with oil, and there is no substitute. There really is a disconnect out there where people don’t know that Plastic = Oil. That’s the biggest and most important one.

Plastic is Oil. Without plastic, we have nothing. Without crude oil refining, we literally go back in technology 200 years.

Climate change is number #1,349 on my list of issues to be addressed right after #1,348 filling pot holes on the Michigan peninsula.

CO2 is NOT a dangerous pollutant.

If everyone who believes it is would simply stop exhaling it, we could solve this problem overnight.

Likely, but Comrade Sanders doesn’t know a phucking thing about anything.

He runs his mouth. That’s all.

If you want to stop carbon dioxide emissions you first kill all animal life and then seal the bodies so the decay does not release co2. Oh and plug up all the volcanoes too! Amazing how far this scam has gone when we have these almost magical self replicating machines called ‘plants’ which naturally take co2 out of the air.

...a $2 trillion plan to boost investment in clean energy...

But it isn't "clean" energy. Not really. I've always been aware that there are lots of hidden costs to "clean" energy. And costs usually translate into resources expended. For example, manufacture of solar panels, batteries, etc.

I recently learned something about those wonderful wind turbines that seem to be popping up all over the place. Consider:

An interesting thing I recently learned about them is that an average wind turbine's 3 blades are each made of approximately 9 tons (yes that is each!) of fiberglass. That when a wind turbine is decommissioned these blades cannot be recycled, they are cut up and transported to land fills. There are only a few land fills in the entire country that will take them. They do not decompose, they will be there basically forever. Great. I found a couple of things that mention transitioning to carbon fiber blades for some of the larger turbines. Apparently carbon fiber can be recycled but the current process for doing that requires high heat (more energy) to separate the resin...

I'm all for renewable energy sources, but I am 100% opposed to wind turbines for the above listed reasons. Wind power as "clean energy" is apparently a huge lie.
