Pennsylvania’s Supreme Court ruled unanimously Friday on a key concern surrounding an avalanche of mailed ballots, prohibiting counties from rejecting them if the voter’s signature on it does not resemble the signature on the voter’s registration form.
Two Republican justices joined five Democratic justices in the decision.
The verdict was a victory for the state’s top election official, Kathy Boockvar, a Democrat who had asked the court to back her up in a legal dispute with President Donald Trump’s campaign and Republican lawmakers.
“County boards of elections are prohibited from rejecting absentee or mail-in ballots based on signature comparison conducted by county election officials or employees, or as the result of third-party challenges based on signature analysis and comparisons,” the justices wrote.
Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden are locked in a battle to win Pennsylvania’s 20 electoral votes. With Democrats voting by mail at an almost 3-to-1 rate over Republicans, the prospect of disqualified ballots poses a greater threat to Biden’s candidacy.

That’s true. I ran elections for a few years when I was young and innocent. The League Of Women Voters ladies were standing by on election day to take ballots to shut-ins and “help” them vote.
Later I learned that the League is a left-wing cesspool and now I fear they were doing more than helping. Helping and harvesting both start with “h”, but they ceetainly don’t mean the same.
This kind of looney judicial excrescence is precisely the reason ACB’s light-speed nomination, confirmation, and swearing-in was always so crucially important. The pre-election pro-donkey party judicial decisions in the state courts were always going to be shaped and molded to ensure that mountains of fraudulent “votes” would be added straight into the total vote count, considered just as valid as a vote cast in-person and in-booth at a polling location on election day) rather than being placed in limbo (impotently quarantined like the so-called “provisional” ballot one is typically forced to cast when the poll workers at a polling location on election day find one or more things wrong with one’s claimed registration).
It darn well better be decided ultimately bY SCOTUS, or Trump can kiss Pennsylvania’s electoral votes goodbye.
An absentee ballot is fine for those that cannot make it to the polls. Nothing wrong with that, but that needs to be tightly controlled. Having someone put their ballot in a drop box is an invitation to voter fraud. That is called ballot harvesting, not voting.
I would like the finger print option. I don’t know what it is, but my signature is almost never the same.

So disgusting. A while back I went to the bank for some reason. A local branch and am familiar with all the women that work there. Needed to sign something and scribbled my name on the paper, provided my driver’s license, knew the teller and I was denied the service until my signature matched the one on file. So I had to resign the document. And that was for a small personal loan I had taken out or something to that effect.
Amazing the levels of deception and hypocrisy the Left is willing to go to, to get their way. And, the worst part about it. Everyone on their side knows, actively participates and not a care in the world.
And the prospect of cheating by DemocRats is about 1000 times higher. This means that the ballots cannot be thrown out if the “signature” is a mere scribble or even a squiggly line.
Thankfully that hasn't happened to me yet. Had a neck injury some years back and my left arm was numb for about 3 months. I have the feeling back now, but I write left-handed, and have trouble making the pen do what I want. It would be impossible for me to write my signature exactly as I did before the injury.
How can you be sure you are talking to the right person? Do ballots have to contain phone numbers?
This will go to the Supreme Court. The ruling will be 5-4 that rules against this voter fraud scheme. Another reason to have Judge Coney Barrett confirmed next week. The signatures do not have to match. That is complete insanity. It’s another form of the hanging chad syndrome.
Go get an injunction from SCOTUS.
