It won’t be long that the Church will have an marriage Mass for homosexuals. They are throwing away 2000 years of church teaching so that 2% of the population can defile each other through the Church.

No, no impeachment clause, but surely he can be compelled to step down. Hoping he will be jailed.

Well the Pope is against capitalism.

I think American Catholic Church members should quit contributing to the Catholic Church so the Pope doesn’t have to take our filthy capitalist money.

The “state” should have little or no involvement with a “marriage.” If people want to contract with each other, that is a legal issue.

If the churches want to do a ceremony...that is fine too.

But it is really none of the States’ business.

Without question or doubt, Pope Francis is an antiChrist. He is a heretic.

He told the pope that he and his partner wanted to bring the children up as Catholics.

Was he planning to teach them that homosexual sex is a mortal sin that would condemn a person to eternal damnation?

Homosexual men have the same right to enter into a union with a single unrelated woman as any other man. They have been doing it for centuries.

Actually, you are wrong.

There was extensive legislative action on this subject. By 2017, 38 States had either banned these marriages by legislation or by State Constitutional amendments.

____

You misunderstand me. My point was that no legislative body or constitutional amendment made gay “marriage” legal. Quite the opposite.

I think the SCOTUS decision was a hot mess. There is no provision for marriage in the constitution so it should be a states rights issue.

The Pope has three strikes against him: 1) He’ an Argentine; 2) he’s a Jesuit; 3) He somehow missed that part of the Bible relating to Sodom and Gamorrah.

1 Thess 4:1-8 is clear: those who reject the command against sexual immorality have rejected God.

Even liberal Oregon voted 66% against gay marriage. The Catholic church is now more liberal than Oregon.

I’d agree with you wholeheartedly if there were not protected classes that use litigation to cram their values down the throats of private businesses and institutions.

Until the day that government is completely (and I mean completely) out of the business of marriage encouragement, protection, and denial, then the people have a right to lobby for whatever government policies align with thier values.
