Dozens of former intelligence officials signed a public statement Monday expressing doubts about the authenticity of the Hunter Biden emails published by the New York Post.
In the letter, first reported by Politico, more than 50 former intelligence officers said they believed the emails purportedly belonging to Biden, the son of the Democratic presidential nominee, Joe Biden, had "all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation."
"We want to emphasize that we do not know if the emails, provided to the New York Post by President Trump's personal attorney Rudy Giuliani, are genuine or not and that we do not have evidence of Russian involvement — just that our experience makes us deeply suspicious that the Russian government played a significant role in this case," they wrote in the statement.
The former intel officials wrote they believe the arrival of the contents, which they dubbed a "laptop op," to the tabloid was a cause for suspicion, "as the publication of the emails are clearly designed to discredit" the elder Biden.
"Such an operation would be consistent with some of the key methods Russia has used in its now multi-year operation to interfere in our democracy — the hacking (via cyber operations) and the dumping of accurate information or the distribution of inaccurate or misinformation," they said.
"It is high time that Russia stops interfering in our democracy," the letter concluded.

The same intelligence agency officials, no doubt, that issued the report assuring us that Russia was behind the email theft from the DNC & collusion in the 2016 election.
Notice the operative word “Former”...
I would pay good money for a front row seat to see these traitorous, former intel officials publicly executed. They have betrayed the American people and are a law unto themselves. President Harry Truman authorized creation of the CIA but later publicly warned of its dangers to the country.

The authenticity of the emails has not been denied.
Some things cannot be faked — e.g., the pornos and photos of Hunter, the metadata from intermediate servers, etc.
And there is confirmation from: Biden’s lawyers wanting the laptop back, the subpoenas, the testimony of some random computer repair guy, and several email counter-parties confirmed the authenticity.
There is a reason why the area surrounding Washington DC has become the wealthiest in the world.....because so many in our gov’t are enriching themselves by selling out the nation.
Given what happened with Russia, Russia, Russia I don’t trust a word they say.
In fact, I think they should all be investigated for obstruction of justice.
How in the hell do they know!
If Biden or any of his people are asked about the emails, they will say: "More than 50 former intel officials signed a public letter saying they believe this story has all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation. This story has been debunked".
What seditious traitors. No wonder the intel “officials” are a disgraced group of anti-American losers. Arrest and waterboard each of these pathetic parasitic losers. I have often wondered why regarding the DNC and Podesta Emails leak, that awards weren’t given out, it was true and accurate.
There is ZERO evidence of Russia’s involvement in the Biden labtop scandal.
But for those “true believers,” I got a bridge I can sell them...cheap...in Brooklyn.
Here’s Russian meddling in US politics would evolve:

<><> Giuliano is fooled into examining the contents and dupes the NY Post into publishing it.
<><> Cong Schiff declares the laptop to be a Russian hoax.
So there you have it.....as the Bard said....”all’s well that ends well.”
And just like that the story is converted from being something that hurts Biden into something that helps the narrative that the Russians are helping Trump.
