Twitters crackdown on a controversial New York Post story that purported to show new emails from Joe Bidens son, Hunter Biden, about his business dealings while Joe Biden was the vice president in the Obama administration, nearly doubled the storys visibility and triggered the so-called Streisand Effect, amplifying the Posts claims, according to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a high-profile media intelligence firm.
When Twitter banned, and then unbanned, links to a questionably sourced New York Post article about Joe Bidens son Hunter, its stated intention was to prevent people from spreading harmful false material as America heads into the final stretch of the election campaign, MITs Technology Review reported Monday. But thanks to the cycle of misinformationand claims from conservatives that social-media platforms are deliberately censoring their viewsTwitter managed to do the opposite of what it intended.
In fact, Twitters efforts triggered a massive spike in interest in the story. According to Zignal Labs, a media intelligence firm, shares of the Post article nearly doubled after Twitter started suppressing it, MIT noted.

Funny how those things always backfire, and yet they still keep doing stupid stuff. I found ways to post about it myself.

Twitter has unbanned the story?
A tweet by Candace Owens on the subject - posted here on FR - is gone.

What Twitter has done is, they are now allowing links to the New York Post story, unlike before. Earlier, even clicking on a link to the New York Post story from Twitter came up with a blocking message.
The reason they unblocked it is because everyone was going direct to the New York Post site to read the story themselves, without bothering with Twitter. It's been a boon for the New York Post who have seen their web traffic shoot up even as they acquired a certain cache.
However, Twitter is till locking the New York Post account on Twitter and demanding the Post takes down the story on Twitter. Fortunately, The Post has told Twitter to go take a jump. Let's hope the Post stick to their guns until after the elections, when it will all be moot because Trump won.

We always knew Twitter and Fakebook covered for Democrats.
Now, even when they’re raping little children in China.
What decent person could even think about voting Democrat these days?
Answer, none at all.
Remember, Joe Biden was covering for Hunter Biden’s crimes. /Captain Obvious

[all you see is people tweeting about his corruption. When Joe comes out of the basement on Thursday the stain will not come off]
Well, the revelations about Hunter Biden sure won't be helping Joe Biden in this particular area:

I recall in one of the GRRM books, a troubadour was singing a nasty ballad about Queen Cersei and her brother, and she wanted to cut his tongue out, but Tyrion persuaded her not to on the ground that it would lend credence to the allegations of the song, which by now other troubadours would know.

In fact, Twitters efforts triggered a massive spike in interest in the story. According to Zignal Labs, a media intelligence firm, shares of the Post article nearly doubled after Twitter started suppressing it, MIT noted. In the 'old days' young authors would do whatever they could to 'get banned in Boston'... great way to sell more books...
That said, it's great Facebook helped get the word out about Hunter Biden selling out the US to China, Ukraine, etc etc etc for billions of dollars and kicking back HALF to the Big Guy Daddy Joe Biden.
Ever wonder how Joe Biden paid for his mansions? NOW YOU KNOW.

NOW YOU KNOW how Joe Biden paid for his mansions ....Yeah, but somewhere in that shady global math, Obama got his cut.
Delicious to contemplate the Biden's lied to Obama about the graft.....and kept most of the money for themselves.
