Floridians have already cast 1.8 million ballots for the 2020 election

Despite the fact that the 2020 presidential election is three weeks away, nearly 1.8 million Florida voters have already cast their ballot by mail.

The state Division of Elections did an accounting of the votes and determined there have been 1,782,663 mail-in ballots cast in total -- 905,065 of which were sent in by Democrats and 520,712 by Republicans.

An additional 336,768 ballots were cast by voters with no party affiliation, while third-party voters accounted for 20,118. More than 3.8 million additional mail-in ballots were sent out to state voters and have not been returned, according to the Division of Elections.

This news comes amidst a public and protracted battle between Republicans and Democrats, over the legitimacy and efficacy of mail-in voting.

Democrats argue it would give those who are concerned about the coronavirus an easier opportunity to make their voices heard, while the GOP and President Trump believe the mail-in system is chaotic -- leaving elements of the election vulnerable to manipulation, ballot harvesting, and fraud.

Florida election supervisors will be opening up early-voting sites next week, as an alternative for Floridians who wish to cast their ballots before Nov. 3.

Hope most of the "no-party affiliation" votes go to Trump.

Could explain why Trump has moved resources from other states into Florida.

I am assuming from the enthusiasm that not all Democrats will vote for Harris/Biden and most Independents will vote for PDJT.

Maybe I am wrong but the vote by mail is going to be bigger for the Dems this year because they have asked the voters to cast their ballots this way.

I’m not that worried about early voting. I think the people who can be swayed are waiting; the people who are locked into their candidate vote early.

Given that the trend...nationwide...seems to be in the President's favor the fact that many have already voted may not bode well for the President.

You've gotta give Rat Party Headquarters credit...they're always trying to move the goalposts but even as utterly depraved as they are they usually succeed.

At the Trump rally last night in Sanford, FL last night, 16% of attendees self-identified as Democrats and 24% didn’t vote in 2016.

There is no reason to assume all Democrats are voting for Biden, based on this data.

Correct. Even with sometimes large advantages in registered voters, Democrats have often underperformed in Florida. Obviously many registered Democrats vote Republican.

Hahaha, it explains nothing. Are those 1
8m in the panhandle? Where are the votes coming from. Are they new voters or just voters who voted in person last time. I’m sure it can all be analyzed and I were doing it I could probably pin it down to a pretty accurate total so I’m sure others can too. I’m confident very few if any people on this board have taken on the massive task it would be to actually make sense of this data.

I think we have to consider the likelihood that Democrats are going to get thoroughly routed at the polls by Republicans. I cannot see Democrats, after all the fear-mongering by their leaders, hitting the polls like Trump voters. Just my opinion, maybe I’m way off.
