Sen. Mazie Hirono asked Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett whether she has been the perpetrator of any sexual misconduct, a question Hirono said she asks all nominees.
“I ask each nominee these two questions, and I will ask them of you. Since you became a legal adult, have you ever made unwanted requests for sexual favors or committed any verbal or physical harassment or assault of a sexual nature?” the Hawaii Democrat asked during the hearing on Tuesday.
Hirono also used her time on Tuesday to criticize Barrett over her use of the phrase “sexual preference” instead of “sexual orientation” earlier in the day when the matter of same-sex marriage was being discussed.
“Not once, but twice, you used the term ‘sexual preference’ to describe those in the LGBTQ community,” Hirono said. “And let me make clear, sexual preference is an offensive and outdated term. It is used by anti-LGBTQ activists to suggest that sexual orientation is a choice. It is not. Sexual orientation is a key part of a person’s identity.”

The question is shocking and it's hard to imagine any man wanting to walk into that trap given how the Left will produce someone out there, an ex, acquaintance, etc., who will claim they were attacked.

The question was asked because they have a dem operative willing to be like the gal in Kavanaugh’s hearing to make a charge buttressed by other Dem operatives.

Judge Barret should’ve gave a short response: “No, have you?”
But that’s just a testament to her class and self-restraint!
My answer would have been, “No, have you?” Where the hell did Hirono’s question come from? Was it a sleazy effort to suggest that accusations of that type against Barrett are actually circulating?
They have had no problems bringing up BS against every GOP nominee since BORK. Just because she’s a woman should not presume they won’t against her.
They know she puts the court in a more constitutional role, than it has been in several generations.. they know it, so don’t think for one minute they won’t try something just because she’s a woman.
