Accused Kenosha Gunman Won't Face Charges in Illinois

A 17-year-old accused of killing two protesters days after Jacob Blake was shot by police in Kenosha, Wisconsin, will not face charges in his home state of Illinois, prosecutors said Tuesday.

An investigation revealed the gun used in the Kenosha shooting was purchased, stored and used in Wisconsin, the Lake County State’s Attorney’s Office said. There is no evidence the gun was ever physically possessed by Kyle Rittenhouse in Illinois, it said.

Rittenhouse of Antioch, remains held in a juvenile detention center in Lake County without bond due to pending criminal charges in Kenosha. Rittenhouse is due back in Lake County court on Oct. 30 for an extradition hearing.

His arrest has become a rallying point for some on the right, with a legal defense fund that has attracted millions of dollars in donations. But others see Rittenhouse as a domestic terrorist whose presence with a rifle incited the protesters.

terrorism. Security guards across the nation can vouch

Three felons attacked Rittenhouse. Each of them in a riot
situation was probably already in violation of their
probation or parole. The one carrying a gun which he
brandished, was certainly in violation of his.

That first guy that was shot by Rittenhouse fixated on him
and determined he was going to get him. Rittenhouse
finally had to defend himself. The guy was a certifiable
nut-job from the video I've seen.

He didn't like that Rittenhouse had a gun out there. And
with people like this nut-job out there, it's a good thing
he did.

I don't see how they have any grounds to hold Rittenhouse.

You should read some of the testimony from the trial of the guys who did in Till and at first got off. (By the way, one of the group who kidnapped Till was black.) Till was a 14-year-old from Chicago, visiting his country cousins down on the Louisiana bayous. He walked into a store at closing time and grabbed the wrist of the young woman behind the counter--who with her husband owned the store--telling her he had white girlfriends in Chicago. Till's cousins couldn't believe his behavior and pulled him out as the young woman went out to her car for her handgun.

Till had gone through a rough upbringing, I'm sure. His father served in the US Army occupying Italy after the war, and was hanged by a US military court there for raping and murdering two Italian women.

I'm certainly not making a case for kidnapping teenagers, but the canonization of Emmett Till was a classic Communist Party agitprop. He was one strange, troubled kid, and a bizarre choice for a secular martyr.
