Over Half Still Say They Are Likely to Vote Against Trump [actually good news]

Slightly more than half of voters still say they are more likely to vote against President Trump, a finding that hasn’t changed in a year of regular surveying.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 46% of Likely U.S. Voters are more likely to vote for Trump in the 2020 presidential election. Fifty-two percent (52%) are more likely not to.

52% more likely to vote against Trump, but this includes 3-4% for third parties. So this implies a head-to-head Biden lead of only 49-46 or 48-46.

Compare that to Biden up 52-40 in last week's poll by the same company. Perhaps Trump is surging.

Democrats have managed to keep more third-party candidates off of ballots this time.

How is this good news? It's really not.

I don't have to like Trump to know he's done a pretty good job and going in the right direction.

how many in that 52 percent are lying? It could be 2, 3, 4 percent of more.

How many people really want to vote for a man who is so afraid of his own shadow that he has to be dragged from his basement? Trump said last night that a president can’t just sit in his basement and refuse to come out, he has to be out and about, and that entails taking risks. Biden doesn’t want to take such risks.

“How is this good news? It’s really not.”

Because Trump is within striking distance, not behind by double digits according to the media polls.

Couldn’t the pollsters be bring the percentages pro and con Trump closer together as the final vote draws near so they won’t look too foolish when Trump wins in a landslide? At any rate, after predicting that PIAPS would win handily in 2016, I really don’t care what they say now.

i can’t fathom how biden is ahead in any poll at all. The video of him molesting women and children is all over the place. The video of him not having any coherent answers to any questions is all over the place. The video of him always saying the wrong thing is perpetually renewed with additional gaffes. I can only surmise that the IQ in this country is just absolutely shitty.

Yet Rassmussen just a couple a days ago gave trump a 49 per cent approval rating...

A national -3% wins the battlegrounds. Calif and NY drag the skew.

I don’t see how it’s good news, either. The problem is that there are a number of voters who agree with Trump’s actual policies on just about every issue but are voting against Trump anyway because they don’t like him.

It’s good to analyse but no it is not good news. It’s also a shame that so many Americans don’t recognise the things that have been accomplished.

I'm not sure I understand the question. Are they saying that they don't know who they are voting for, but there is a 52% chance the will vote 'against Trump'?

Also not sure how this is interpreted as good?

To be fair, biden is a lot closer to his appointment with the be-robed, no-nosed guy carrying a scythe.

I rather doubt he’s looking forward to the final accounting that follows...

I don’t know anybody other than myself who have been polled. I am polled repeatedly, probably because I answer the phone and answer their questions I am polite to them, but I always make a point to lie to them about my age, ethnic group, and party registration.

For October 13, 2020 Rasmussen Reports that their latest poll had Trump with a 48% job approval. Yet Rasmussen claims that Trump is behind Biden by double digits. Both can’t be true at the same time.

56% say they’re better off under Trump than Obama yet 52% are likely to vote against Trump? Both answers are from a Rassmussen poll. Both cannot be right.

According to the internal independent pollster I have access to Trump is cruising to reelection and Biden is not near striking distance. Trump 51 Biden 44 is the latest numbers on 5000 respondents with a 3.5% MOE. Dems are in big trouble nationally and some data has been coming out. Everything I have heard from this source has collaborating info in the media. Stop wasting your time with the MSM propaganda all bought and paid for to make weaklings go nuts!

They didn’t like him in 2016 and the polls were the same as now. We know how that worked out.

“For October 13, 2020 Rasmussen Reports that their latest poll had Trump with a 48% job approval. Yet Rasmussen claims that Trump is behind Biden by double digits. Both can’t be true at the same time.”

Trump was at 44% approval last week when Rasmussen showed him behind by double digits. They will release another poll tomorrow, which should be closer.
