SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - Californias chief elections official on Monday ordered Republicans to remove unofficial ballot drop boxes from churches, gun shops and other locations and Attorney General Xavier Becerra warned those behind the vote tampering could face prosecution.
Republican refused, saying they are taking advantage of Californias liberal ballot collection law that allows anyone to collect ballots from voters and deliver them to county election offices.
As of right now, were going to continue our ballot harvesting program, California Republican Party spokesman Hector Barajas said.
Due to the coronavirus and concerns about health safety at polling places, California for the first time mailed ballots for the Nov. 3 election to all active registered voters more than 21 million people. The ballots come with pre-paid envelopes for voters to mail back, free of charge.

In a news release, the California Republican Party said state law does not specifically ban them from collecting ballots in a box. They say the law only prevents tampering or forging ballots and that people collecting the ballots cannot be paid for doing it.
It appears Republicans are well within their right to collect ballots in this manner. Its just that Democrats dont like it, Republican state Sen. Melissa Melendez posted to her official Twitter account.

In California, state law says voters who cant return their ballots themselves can ask anyone else to do it for them. Previously, people who returned a ballot for someone else also had to sign it and list their relationship to the voter. But a separate law passed in 2018 eliminated that requirement.

The states have given Congress the express, 14th Amendment power to make sure that state laws are applied equally to all people.

Hey, Democraps. If ballot harvesting is so evil, why did you make it LEGAL? Go ahead, sue, and get it declared unconstitutional or something.
It’s good to see a CA Republican actually fighting back for once. CA used to elect Republicans, then they ran a long string of one feckless RINO after another like Mike PeterPuffington and basically ceded the state to the Communists.
GOP: DO NOT remove those boxes. You’ll need them to prove vote fraud.

My formally super liberal niece in West Hollywood bought a gun up where I live and says that she’s having conversations with the people in her neighborhood and a lot of people are voting for Trump. I know this is anecdotal but with all the other evidence I see that people are changing their minds tells me that all is what it doesn’t seem in the media.
And in my neck of the woods Biden signs are up but not Trump ones. BUT!!!! There is 1 house with a Biden sign on average with about about 100 houses with no signs at all:-) Get my drift?-)

I would not recommend that anyone uses these ballot boxes. or any of the rest of them for that matter. Vote in person.
I have a personal plea to anyone who can help.
We have 3 voters in this house. One day about 2 weeks ago, we got 3 ballots in the mail. Took them in, assumed they were all ours. Two were for my sons who can vote. The last one turned out to be for our next door neighbor. I went and placed it in his mailbox.
Two weeks later, no one has returned mine to my mailbox. I want to vote, and I did send an email to the California wheres my ballot website. Have heard nothing back.
Now I am deathly afraid someone might have used my ballot to vote and then ONCE MORE I will not be allowed to vote.
6 years ago, I walked to my polling station to vote and was told I already voted, I was given a piece o crap paper provisional ballot and told that would count. I do not believe it.

the media and demrats are howling.. the tards on fakebook and twitter and calling the republican drop boxes are illegal.. when pointing out that dems made ballot harvesting legal they all scream site the law, and when told it passed in 2016 they still scream its illegal...
Even if President Trump loses, their vote would help whatever down-ticket Republicans remain.
A secondary benefit is that it would raise the popular vote count, diluting the phony "But Biden won the popular vote!" argument.

My neighbor and I dropped our ballots off at the City Hall box right outside the door in a collection box.
The delicious irony in this is that the GOP’s ballot boxes now have the Dems themselves pointing out how such “harvesting” makes it easy for those doing the harvesting to cheat in various ways.
In essence, they’re making the case against the law that they passed, and I think we should listen to them. That is, harvest away this year when it’s still legal and then join the Dems in making the process illegal, again. And now the GOP can use their own words to defend the bill making it illegal.

Indeed, I do. I’ve also got a hair-brained idea that might work. It sort of mirrors a joke I heard recently that goes:
If you’re driving around in your car all alone and wearing a mask, you don’t need a Biden sticker on your car. We already know.
Now for the idea: I put on a t-shirt today with a large USA on the front and asked my wife if she thought I could wear it around my ultra-liberal city. She thought not. But that got me thinking. Why not put up yard signs that don’t say anything about Trump? All they need to say is “USA”, or maybe even better, “USA 2020”?
They would make two points: 1) Yes, we’re for Trump, and 2) Trump is the USA candidate, and Biden’s not by implication. It would be an interesting experiment if the Trump Campaign tried giving USA yard signs away to see if they start sprouting up in neighborhoods where people don’t put up Trump signs. If a Dem neighbor starts to look sideways at you, you just say, “Hey, you don’t like the USA?”
And if someone here prints a few thousand of these and sells them out at $10 a pop, I think a 5% royalty would be in order, no? (There, I got that off my chest—now I can get on with my day.)
