To a West where no one seems to want to fight anymore or care anymore about their own traditions, where they spit on their own history, topple their statues and erase their own culture, where the land no longer sends any echo, the Armenians, small, scattered around the world, forgotten and barricaded, now at war for Nagorno against the Islamic Ummah led by Turkey, show us a path in which we do not allow ourselves to be overwhelmed.
Half of Nagorno's population, 75,000 people, has been displaced due to Turkish-backed Azerbaijan attacks. We must hope they resist. I have just read a beautiful letter that the French actor Simon Abkarian addressed to Erdogan from the pages of Le Figaro:
We Armenians fight for the future of our children, remembering our dead who refuse to die a second time. Despite your weapons, despite your religious rumors, despite your jihadists at $2,000 a month, you won't win. Take your dead and go, the land of the Armenians is the land of knowledge, the land of honey and roses. You wouldn't know what to do with it. Here women are queens of joy. And the girls have no certificate to present to any man. Here music and wine are indispensable remedies. Here we can believe or not believe. Because our country is not a country, it is a crossroads. And do you know who crosses it? All of humanity. If you think of slaughtering us like lambs, know that we grew up under the belly of lionesses.

Europe is helpless in the face of Turkish expansionism in Libya, in Syria, against Greece, against migrants and now against Armenia. We are ruled by servants who would be willing to become Gray Wolves for a plate of Turkish peanuts.

You are right, we do not owe Armenia anything. However America has a debt to collect from muslim jihadis.
Actually, if you read the article, you’ll note that Meotti is appealing to Europe to fight back against Turkish expansionism, both in the Middle East and in Europe. To the extent that this scolding applies to America, it would apply to the Quisling police in Dearbourne, MI, to the coddling of CAIR and radical Islamists on campuses everywhere.
‘’Cowardly West’’? That’s nerve. Accuse Western Europe of that but not the US. I don’t want to see anymore Americans fighting and dying every time some bunch of unpronoucnables start killing a bunch of unspellables.
Like Europe would do anything without our involvement.
On their own streets they just might. How many gang rapes of 12-year-olds can any society tolerate? On the other hand, these are modern Europeans, so they just might have to be shamed into action. Meotti is a consistent Hector-er of the Euro-wusses.
You got that right. $$ tax revenues.
The islamic kalifate is a way to tax global trade and the internet. In the middle ages there were two poles: the sedentarian powers which had local serfs to hack and the nomadic powers in the middle East which had slaves and prostitutes of the Bedouins to hack at as they passed through.
Nowadays powers have difficulties getting their tax revenues the traditional way because someone can headquarter their server in some island. Islam might be a way for those great powers to get their money that is made through movement of goods instead of through local creation of wealth. Islam is the racket system the globalist socialists intuitively want to integrate with.
The 'world' has also let over 60 MILLION future Americans die at the hands of AMERICANS; too.
Do 'we' owe anyone anything because of this?
You've clarified it well!
I dont disagree with anything you said. We are in the process of receiving Gods judgement for the sacrifice of children at the Satanic alter of selfishness.
I still would like to give weapons to the Armenians. I dislike the Turks and Muslims immensely.
