Sixty to 70 Black Lives Matter activists 'targeted' the black officer, vandalized his girlfriends home, and fired a shotgun at his back door in August. Riots erupted this week when he was not charged.
Black Lives Matter protesters took to the streets of Milwaukee and Wauwatosa Wednesday night, with some of the peaceful demonstrators smashing windows of homes and businesses and clashing with law enforcement and the National Guard.
What started as a protest has become a large disturbance of public order that has caused property damage and is threatening to cause injury to persons, the Wauwatosa Police Department tweeted just before 10 p.m. Wednesday.
The protests followed Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholms announcement that his office could not meet the burden required to charge Wauwatosa officer Joseph Mensah in the fatal shooting of a black teen. Mensah, also black, shot Alvin Cole, 17, in February at Wauwatosas Mayfair Mall after Cole fired his stolen 9 mm pistol at officers, according to the investigation summary.
It was Mensahs third fatal shooting of a suspect in five years. He was found to have acted in self-defense in the others.

Black Lives Matter protesters have made Mensah the face of police brutality and social injustice in suburban Milwaukee, demanding the black police officer be fired and charged with homicide. Theyve received the backing of most members of Wauwatosas city council.
Radical leftists targeted Mensah, vandalized his girlfriends home, and fired a shotgun at the back door during a riotous demonstration in August.
Officer Mensah attempted to establish a dialogue with the group but was ultimately physically assaulted outside his home, the police report stated, adding that the group was estimated to consist of 60 to 70 people. Two men were arrested on felony charges.
State Rep. Rob Hutton and state Sen. Dale Kooyenga, both Brookfield Republicans, practically had to beg Wauwatosas far-left mayor to ask Democratic Gov. Tony Evers to keep the Wisconsin Army National Guard on standby in case things got out of hand. They finally if begrudgingly heeded the advice, with Evers sending in Guard members Wednesday.
Things started to get out of hand about 9 p.m., when Wauwatosa police reported windows being broken at businesses along North Ave. between Wauwatosa Avenue (N. 76 St) and Swan Bl (N 96 St.). Townhall reporter Julio Rosas captured the vandalism on video.

On the ground in Wauwatosa for @townhallcom and some in the Black Lives Matter crowd are smashing storefront windows,” the reporter tweeted. Some earlier on Twitter had asked why Wauwatosa businesses would board up their windows.
In one video report, a businesss front window that apparently did not have a Black Lives Matter sign was smashed. An adjacent window with a Black Lives Matter sign was spared.

Police deployed tear gas and nonlethal weapons as protesters attempted to bust through the security lines, according to reporters on the ground. Like many Black Lives Matter protests that turned disorderly and violent, demonstrators were out past the city-imposed curfew, between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. The curfew is in effect through 6 a.m. Monday.
Wauwatosa City Hall and the citys library announced early closings Wednesday out of concern that civil unrest would follow the district attorneys decision. Schools went all-online for the day.
Wauwatosa residents watched anxiously, hoping the Milwaukee suburb wouldn’t turn into the next Kenosha, which was ravaged by three days of riots after a police officer shot a black man during a domestic incident in August. One video showed the bold line between sympathy for the Black Lives Matter movement and their violent tactics.
Do you know how many Democrats, how many [Milwaukee Public Schools] teachers, union members, other people that would support you live on this street, and youre going to let him ride through my yard? Show some respect, a Wauwatosa man shouted at rioters on a motorcycle.
The cops pushed us this way, just so you know, one of the demonstrators informed the frustrated man.
So they pushed you into my yard? he said, incredulously.
Rule number one for police: never shoot a black thug if they aim a firearm at you. Always let them shoot and kill you.
As I said earlier, BLM is nothing more than a bunch of looting, murderous, thugs with a slogan. Now its been shown they are ripoff artists to boot:
If you need a color
in front of those words,
YOU are a racist.
He didn’t just draw it idiots.
“after Cole fired his stolen 9 mm pistol at officers”
there. fixed it.
Let’s see...black victim, black officer.....need to attack the gun manufacturer’s house to cover the color mismatch. Might as well get gun control in it, also. Multi tasking. It would work except for the shotgun part. But the media can overlook that. Problem solved.
This is all part of the cutting back on the public right before the election. They can get a black officer to shoot a black victim and blame a white guy. Compromise....kind of.
Joseph Mensah is a good cop.
That’s what they hate.
Wauwatosa has always been a genteel, middle-upper class suburb of Milwaukee, with a small-town feel that differs greatly from urban Milwaukee. Sort of a bedroom community, it is home to several small colleges and university branches, and has always prided itself for being a clean place and a tourist attraction.
Think of what your Dem neighbors, coworkers and acquaintences are enabling:
no law enforcement officer of any color can apprehend, physically hold or be forced to fire upon a suspect, or he or she will face a review board, suspension and probable canceling with their family at risk at home. So only BLM anarchy will do, followed by a planned strong Marxist crackdown later.
Yeah, it’s going to happen...It’s not too far off either....
Thanks for the report from the area, always what we need on FR. We never heard of the place.
One clue in your description, though. University and college....
Outside of a handful such as Hillsdale College, have you seen many that were not Communist indoctrination centers where freeedom of speech was thrown in the dumpster years ago?
However, let’s see how the suburbn anti-Trump women feel about home invasions, carjackings, demonstrators defecating on their front lawns and having people surrounded in their family car by thugs.
Not so bad to re-elect a law and order man who is harsh in his tweets, is it?
It makes me wonder don't the blacks want to be called Human?
It’s to Milwaukee what Oak Park is to Chicago...a pricey and somewhat snooty suburb, full of lefty liberals, that borders an urban ghetto.
Had the rioters tried that someplace like West Allis, I doubt they’d have gotten as far.
Killing the punk is probably a net saving of lives.
Didnt this guy die of a fentanyl overdose?
“...has become a large disturbance of public order that has caused property damage and is threatening to cause injury to persons...”
Back in the day, we once called those “riots”.
