This is the first time in my life I have lived in a place where the polls are not open on election day. Thanks to the diktat of Obergruppenführer Murphy here in New Jersey, we are being forced to "vote by mail" in this election.
My wife and I did just that today. Only, we didn't put our ballots in the mail. I wanted to share with you all what we did instead, and what the procedure is.
After voting my ballot, putting it in the yellow envelope, signing, sealing, etc., we took our ballots directly to the Camden County Board of Elections office at 100 University Court in Blackwood. This shortens the chain of custody of the ballot and in theory will prevent your ballot from getting "lost in the mail" or "accidentally" disposed of by your municipality.
Once at the County Board of Elections office, I brought my filled out and sealed ballot to the window. This is Nanny Jersey, so masks are mandatory to enter the building, of course. Interestingly, once I arrived at the window, I had to show ID. The clerk checked the ID against the name on the ballot to make sure they matched as you are not supposed to submit anyone else's ballot. Curiously, the clerk did not compare me to picture on the ID, not that it mattered because I was mandatory wearing a face-diaper anyway.
Next, I had to fill out a form with my municipality, name, address and signature. The clerk then accepted my ballot and I got an "I voted today" sticker (woo). They also said I could keep the pen I had used because, as we know, us citizens are all contaminated and dirty.
So that's how it works if you opt to drop your ballot off at your county Board of Elections in NJ. If you live in New Jersey and haven't voted for President Trump yet, I hope this information is helpful.
Now get out there and vote!
I’m in LA California. I heard from a neighbor that some people have got the ballot many have not including myself. They said it supposed to be here on the 3rd.
I’m in California, and I will go to a polling place, “surrender” my ballot, and vote in person. But I have to wait til the polls open on Halloween!! Can you believe it? Halloween!
bring your ballot to your polling place by 8:00 p.m. on election day, November 3. Remember only you, the voter, can bring your ballot to your polling place on election day.
Our county has about 8 secured drop box locations and one inside the front door of the elections office. No interaction with anyone. Easy.
In Colorado our elections have unfortunately been entirely vote by mail for a number of years now (“coincidentally” coinciding with when Colorado suddenly went deep blue). So, I hold our ballots until close to or on Election Day, and then I hand deliver them to the drop boxes at our polling place.

I’m in CA too and to CA’s credit we got 4 ballots in the mail to the 4 registered voters who consider this address their permanent address (me, my husband, our 2 young adult kids).
EXCEPT that one of the ballots was for my recent college grad who I KNOW had changed his registration to his college county (he had been picked for jury duty up here and had to change his registration and prove it to the court in order to get out of jury duty in a county he didn’t live in).
So my thought is—what if there was a second ballot mailed to his prior address at his college? Who will vote that one? And why was his registration not changed?
Hmmmm.
I don’t like any ballots that require me to sign anything that means some bureaucrat will be comparing my signature to an old signature of mine. Comparing signatures is very subjective and they might toss my ballot.
I will surrender my mailed ballot to my polling place and vote there without needing to sign a ballot.
SF East Bay here, our county registrar of voters said the ballots were mailed out Oct. 5th. Nothing here yet.
There is now a county list of "accessible voting locations" to replace the regular polling places due the COVID-19. Bigger venues with "social distancing" space.
County elections worker said I could drop off my ballot directly at their office, at the "24 Hour Drop Boxes" or at the Accessible Voting Location. I guess since this is a "vote by mail" election I am not constrained by geography within my county and can choose any one of them.
Voting in person here in Ohio, on election day.
I wonder who someone else decides I’m voting for.

That’s encouraging to hear. It sounds like ballot harvesting would be prevented.
My 2016 absentee ballot for Trump was rejected “for signature”.
Usually, hours are spent comparing multiple “standards” in our legal system.
My mail carrier frowned at my donations to the TEA Party.

There is a reason that happened:
In Wisconsin there were 95,000 fewer votes cast in 2016 compared to 2012
but the population increased by 53,000 since 2012. What Changed?
Can you say voter ID? I knew you could. Voting multiple times in Wisconsin
became much more difficult in 2016
Democrats have had four years to figure out how to cheat in Wisconsin.
I'm sure they have been up to the task.
