After being hospitalized for COVID-19, Pres. Trump tweeted out minutes ago:

That makes so far President Trump and First Lady Melania, Hope Hicks, Chris Christie, Trump campaign manager Bill Stepien, former Senior Advisor Kellyanne Conway, Notre Dame President Rev. John I. Jenkins, Senator Mike Lee, Senator Thom Tillis and Senator Ron Johnson who have all tested positive for COVID-19. Rona McDaniel is also positive. “Interesting” at a minimum, no?
She also lost for covering up her illness ineptly. FDR did four terms without being photographed in a wheelchair or falling down. JFK managed to boink Marilyn Monroe without anyone, including Monroe, knowing he had terrible back pain. Hillary couldn’t even get into a car without falling flat on her face.
Color me deplorable.

He’s not in a local doctor’s office with one doc checking him out.
And I’m sure teams of folks there are not from that hospital..the best will be called in.
And Many, Many doctors are checking and double checking his stats.
Makes for a good book..but not good reality.
The only “stimulus” America needs is getting the federal government off our backs and letting the voluntary cooperation between buyers and sellers in the marketplace run without government inference. The Free Market Economy is the greatest economic stimulus known to man.
Consistent with the American values that THE PEOPLE not the government, runs the show and makes America great.
Aside from yearly GDP data increases, “funny money stimulus” directly from the Treasury printing presses increases money supply to create MORE inflation - a hidden tax - which does more economic harm than good.

Economically, Trump needs to lead the way by getting the feds OUT OF THE WAY.
Pulse oximetry is not the standard they would use. It’s a continuous monitor that is standardized in a case against an arterial blood gas. It’s probably pretty important to realize that there is a plethora of labs and tests that are run at the hospital level that determine treatment and improvement or worsening.
I further think it important not to interpret the data without understanding what really might be taking place. I would bet my lunch money that he ended up hospitalized based on symptoms and an unattractive blood gas.
So perhaps we can agree that there is far more sophisticated and sensitive tests than the “common sense” everyone realizes.

You are absolutely correct in your assessment, and Trump and his advisors are well aware of what you delineated, BUT....
There's an election coming up in a few short weeks. You do whatcha hafta do, correct? Correct !!!
Right now a second stimulus package is the smartest thing to do, even if Trump and his advisors (and we conservatives) are holding our collective noses if it goes into effect.
Why does it have to be done?
Because zillions of common folk all across the fruited plain are desperate for those little $1200 stimulus checks.....and the alternative of what could be a GOP loss in November is even more hideous and, to the point, A LEFTIST TAKE-OVER OF OUR ECONOMY IS NOT CORRECTABLE.....and one more round of stimulus assistance is !
