With the global coronavirus death toll topping 1 million, Dr. Anthony Fauci gave a grim assessment of the pandemic’s impact in the US — which he said “is not in a good place” with more than 205,000 lives lost, according to a report.
Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, has warned repeatedly that the country is reporting more than 40,000 new cases each day, an “unacceptably high” number that should be below 10,000 at this point, CNBC reported.

Fauxi is not truthful at best, and intentionally misleading otherwise! Not all of the deaths were due to Covid-19. Only 6% or 12,300 are true Covid-19 deaths.
According to the CDC, it’s really only 6% of that figure.
So, I’m good. I’d be more concerned about dying in a car crash.

You’ve nailed it. Add to that we have a lot of nasty, overcrowded cities where a new disease can spread like wildfire and idiot governors who force nursing homes to accept sick people and that 205,000 deaths (which is likely low, looking at the excess mortality figures) starts to make more sense.
Funny how the problem (disease spreading, infected being sent IN to nursing homes, riots, arson, looting, etc.) always seems to be in a city packed with and run by Democrats. No doubt just a coincidence.

SPOT on! If the average American invested as much energy into their health as they do their irrational fears, there would be very little concern. Amazing what cutting carbs and taking a 20 minute walk does for physical and mental health! But... ‘where’s the remote???’
No matter what happens, this country is going to average 40,000 infections and 900 deaths every day. There’s no stopping that virus until it simply runs out of people to infect. Time to move on and deal with what comes.

That’s not what the CDC said at all. What the CDC said was that only 6% of the dead certificates listed nothing but COVID-19. That should probably be closer to 0%.
What you’re suggesting is that since everyone with cancer dies from something else (e.g. multiple organ failure), we should list 0 cancer deaths. That doesn’t mean we’ve cured cancer; it means we’re playing games with the reporting at that point.
The US has been way above the threshold for excess mortality (which is determined by taking historical patterns for deaths week-by-week and stretching them out to account for variance) every single week since March. Much of the blame for why it’s been as bad as it has lies with the terrible (possibly criminal) response of governors like Cuomo, Newsom, and others. The real number of deaths because of COVID-19 is actually likely closer to 240,000 just looking at the CDC’s excess mortality figures. Some deaths are being misclassified because easy widespread testing is still not really available in a lot of places and was virtually non-existent when the largest group of deaths were happening.

There never was a counting of people with H1N1.
And certainly not at this standard of guessing that because someone was in the vicinity of someone (family or coworkers etc) therefore they may have it. And with deaths they aren’t even testing everybody that is in the morgue. This is partisan shill activity and it’s crap it is not science.
