Montgomery County authorities on Thursday announced the dismantling of a gun trafficking network that put dozens of illegally obtained firearms on streets across the region, including some that were later used to commit violent crimes.
The group was led by a trio of teenagers who paid straw purchasers to obtain large quantities of weapons from gun shops across the region, Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Steele said. Some of those involved in the network were as young as 14

Say what you want about it, but whoever is paying $150-$200 over retail and making enough profit to keep 9 or 10 people making money is onto something. I assume their main competition was the stolen gun market.

I don’t think it is exclusively stolen guns. I think when guns are used in crimes like murder the perps have a black market to send them out of the country (Mexico) or other 3rd world type blue cities.
So is drug dealing and pimpin’.

But, theres a recent paper trail. If youre straw-buying for criminals likely to use the guns in violent crimes, the resale market and distribution chains ought to be the last things on your mind. Id want that gun unrecognizable and destroyed...and buried or dumped in a lake. Stolen guns are probably cheaper, too. Maybe its just a bunch of idiots tryin to make a fast $200.
Nah, they will stay out of trouble and vote for Harris-Biden.
