“but only slightly less well-known is this:
Never go in against a Sicilian when DEATH is on the line.””
Inconceivable!
Now there is a high-risk profession. :)
I have a feeling, just a feeling, that the rise of prosperity, travel, and education has created a youth population that doesn’t quite match the guys who crossed the C’hong C’hong and Chosin in Nov 1950 behind the blaring bugles.
They look like young Boy Scouts forced to go to camp to meet the gay scout master.
No 72 virgins for them!!
Well, with the sashes, they must be sending their prettiest troops.
Sorta what I was thinking of.
Or maybe the joys of the Owen-Stanley Mountains in New Guinea.
As I said, I’d cry, too.
Having watched and listened to the video, I really think they are indeed crying while they are trying to sing a patriotic song after being told they were going to the front line. (They were not told until after they were on the bus.)
He then added, “We Pakistani support you China. Stay Brave.”
Sounds like our so-called allies - “Go on ahead, guys, we’re behind you 100%.”
Actually, they know things are not going well in that fight.
Also, many of these only sons have been raised like little princes. They have no interest in sacrificing themselves for good ol’ mother China. Not that I blame them for that. I’m sure the parents are equally horrified at the thought of losing their only child, their son for some border conflict that they probably couldn’t care less about.
The Chinese army marches well, but they don’t have a great record in a real fight. The Indians, on the other hand, are tough dudes.
Soy Boy Alert!
From College to Carnage.
Wonder how much they owe in student loans???
Remember that China has a one child per family law.
No more family.
Humiliating for the Chicoms. Ha ha. But I hope this doesn’t start a big war, though.
Yep.
For sure. The video seems to have originated in Taiwan and their anti CCP propaganda is very intense.
They are not crying in that photo.
The Chinese are good in beating up on the Mongolians and Uighurs in their own country.
My Dad brought three of those home from CBI Theater of War.
