The last Republican big-city mayors were in the late seventies. Portland's last R mayor was 1980. LA and NYC have had recent Republican mayors, but that doesn't mean anything.
So the answer is no. In a big city, dystopia helps Democrats.
NY too far gone, but based on my conversations this Dem Biden violence is convincing female suburban safety mom voters that Trump is their only choice.

The hotels agreed to this insane arrangement because they were devoid of guests otherwise. They were desperate for the revenue. One has to wonder what condition they will find their rooms after the derelicts are finally evicted. Will the refurbishing cost exceed the rental revenue? Will the rooms be contaminated with head lice, bed bugs, and the smell of urine in the mattresses that will require them to be replaced. Did the hotels make a good deal or not?
This is what they voted for.
You might notice where riots are NOT happening. That is right, Detroit.
The mayor and police chief are on the same page, not in our city.
