Not HER race. Not “their” race (if we’re anally retentive about pronouns because her pronouns are “el conquistador”) but that have to quote her as a third person?! In a major city newspaper that has ONE JOB - writing!

Her self described identity, of course, being based on a lie would leave me to believe she has mental issues. It had to be comfortable for her to live in a cocoon of identifying with a movement that she felt gave her a filling of belonging. Don’t know what else to make of this sort of behavior. Would like to know her background I.e., family, school and friends before the lie.

I think it’s a combination of attention seeking, mental illness and trying to get jobs that they couldn’t get as being white.
