I have a masters degree. I ran CIA and NSA. Trump wants a patriotic commission, 1776 Commission. What does he know about that?

How do you know when a COL has a master’s degree? You just wait two minutes and they tell you.

Both of my kids have Masters. Based on the workload I witnessed, I am glad I did not pay for them.

Generally, I am not impressed with degrees. (Engineers and Surgeons impress me. But that’s about it.)

So, what exactly does the CIA and NSA have to do with patriotism? It comes across as weakly as the draft dodging and protesting hippies of the 1960s claims that they were “just as patriotic” as those who served in Vietnam.

For someone who obtained the Rank of General, he sounds like a new minted 2nd LT in his twit. As a NCO, I could not stand a Butter Bar that thought his opinions were always right or carried more weight because he had a degree or went to the Academy. I would often tell them, “Ensign I have been to the Persian Gulf twice and that doesn’t mean I am always right either.” After couple of run-ins with one or two overhyped Ensigns my DHs started calling me “F-8” never could figure it out until our Departmental Master Chief explained it to me with a smile!

Not going to rehash the war but the facts are we did find and destroy thousands of chemical weapons.

Even the NYSlimes grudgingly admitted it.

That general needs to explain why his CIA and NSA generated so many intelligence failures under his tenure first.

I supported the invasions of Iraq and it had nothing to do with claims of WMD’s. We needed to take the battle to the enemies’ turf and project geo-political force.

Massive disproportionate force would have been good. More Desert Storm than whatever the heck we called the post 911 invasion.

It’s waste of time to debate WMDs. We struck fear in the heart of Khaddaffi due to the show of force. WMD’s were irrelevant.

That said, I mourn our losses and offer all honor and respect to those that served, suffered and sacrificed.

When I learn more about what small, unimpressive people some of these “intelligence” officials are

I get scared to death.

When a general starts with: “I have a ...”, they are saying that they have been too far removed from what generals were created for, leading troops to combat, and are more interested in their soon-to-be-published memoirs of pap, their foundations, their Memorial collections, and their retirements, only!

Another Obama General who put self ahead of country and still does. Disgraceful and open to prosecution under the UCMJ provisions for retired officers.

Another high level government official who I once had immense respect for but who I now know to be a very suspect character.

One question I have for all General Officers under Obama - why did you to do the honorable thing and resign over the Jihad Obama carried out against out military, starting with insane rules of engagement Obama imposed on our soldiers in the field which immediate more than doubled the casualty rates they had to bear.

Seriously, our. guys actually had to watch Jihadi carry around weapons and could do nothing until they actually fired at you. If you didn't knuckle under, you were courtmartialed and stuck in Leavenworth until the end of time.

Good men risking their lives in the field paid a high price while our feckless careerist military leadership stood by and did nothing.

Yes, we have civilian control of the military and Obama was Commander in Chief but the Generals could have spoken up and resigned in protest which would have forced Obama to rescind and saved many lives and grievous wounds our guys live with to this day - physical and mental.

oh, and the big BS story is Russia is putting a bounty on American soldiers heads. Who cares, under President Trump's leadership and reversal of the ROEs , the casualty rates have dropped to close to zero and nobody could be collecting the phony bounty even if it existed.

Under the Obama administration, Iran ut a similar bounty on the heads of our troops and hundreds, if not thousands, of casualties occurred and the press said nothing - except cheer Obama’s Iran dealings and his shipping of pallets of cash amounting to hundreds of millions of untraceable, hard currency dollars , euros and Swiss francs- son of which was used to pay the bounties on dead Americans, as well as paying for the arms and terrorist network used to support the war against our troops .

And these same compromised generals continue to support and praise the Iran deal
The hypocrisy on this is simply staggering

I’ve known scores of FIDIOTS who obtained advanced degrees and “managed” things. The level of incompetence was astounding in the majority of cases. Sorry general. NOT impressed. But, thanks for your service.

best response from Richard Grenell on da twit:

I have an Ivy League School Master’s Degree, I was the boss of CIA and NSA, and i would never criticize a President for loving his country.

You have Trump Derangement Syndrome.

(Oh, and there’s an apostrophe S on Master.) https://t.co/Ype1spW8yN— Richard Grenell (@RichardGrenell) September 18, 2020
