'I walked away with my life that night': Wounded Kenosha medic Gaige Grosskreutz tells his story
The Milwaukee Journal ^ | September 11, 2020 | Gina Barton

Posted on 09/17/2020 9:14:23 AM PDT by PBRCat

Grosskreutz was among three people shot on the third night of protests after Kenosha police shot a Black man, Jacob Blake, seven times in the back.

The two other victims of the Aug. 25 triple shooting, Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber, did not survive.

The shooter, Kyle Rittenhouse, 17, of Antioch, Ill, considered himself a citizen soldier. That evening, armed with an AR-15, he told several people he had traveled to Kenosha to help protect life and property. Rittenhouse has been charged with five felonies including first-degree intentional homicide. His lead attorney, John M. Pierce of the law firm Pierce Bainbridge, plans to argue self-defense.

Because of the pending criminal charges against Rittenhouse, Grosskreutz's attorney, Kimberly Motley, has advised him not to discuss what happened the moments immediately before he was shot. On videos, Rittenhouse can be seen falling as he is chased down Sheridan Drive. Grosskreutz approaches, comes to a stop after Rittenhouse shoots Huber, then takes a few more steps before being shot in the arm at close range.

Grosskreutz sees the demonstrations against police brutality as a first step toward ending inequality and bringing about the ideal of justice for all.

"I want to be there and help amplify my brothers' and sisters' voices," he told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel on Thursday.

Yeah and it’s a pity.
One more Antifa felon could have been taking a dirt nap.

Surrounded by gunshots and chaos, worried he could be shot again, his training kicked in. He used his left hand to put pressure on his wounded arm, all the while shouting for a medic.

LOL! Nice spin! He grabbed his now useless arm in panic, screaming like a goat on fire, while some other nitwit "antifa medic" held it and screamed too.

Then some actual medically trained professionals arrived and provided actual medical treatment.

Gaige told his friend he should have emptied his gun into Rittenhouse.

Confucius say: Never bring skateboard to gun fight.

That's what the guy shot in June in ABQ did - he was using the skateboard to hit Steven Baca after chasing Baca, who had retreated down the street after already being attacked with the skateboard at the Onate statue protest. As Baca was coming up from the ground after being tackled, he saw the skateboard being swung at him and fired his handgun four times. He hit the skateboard attacker but didn't kill him (his insides were pretty messed up though). The attacker (who says he was shot nine times) claims he was only trying to knock the handgun out of Baca's hand when he was shot.

Baca's charged with attempted murder and carrying a concealed gun with out a CC permit. With the hatred of the Antifa types, he would have been severely injured if not killed if he had not fired. The NM "Civil Militia" was on site and armed, but didn't participate and were not bothered. However, after the shooting they protected Baca from further attack as Baca dropped the gun and started to use his cell phone. When the police showed up (they had been told to stay hidden behind a nearby building) they arrested Baca and the Civil Militia and took their guns. The Militia members were released but at the time police kept their guns (don't know if they got them back).

The DA prosecuting Baca is one of those that Soros had elected.

Good advice, telling the world he was aiming a gun at Rittenhouse and Rittenhouse shot him for fear of his life would not be good for him.

True, but the evidence of what actually happened that night, plus his own utterances that he should have shot Rittenhouse are documented for all to see if they care to learn the truth.

This guy “Grosskreutz” is lucky too be alive. He’s a damned bully who get everything he deserved.

Hopefully he’ll never be able to pick up a firearm again since his arm was almost blown off.

There’s a reason we refer to this ‘newspaper’ as, ‘The Milwaukee URINAL.’ (’Yellow’ P*ss-Poor Journalism at it’s finest!)

And to answer your question - No and, No. Of course not!

And he’s no trained ‘medic’ either.

What a bunch of Malarkey, LOL!

“Kyle needs to spend more time at the pop-up range. His accuracy is a bit lacking.”

I don’t know about that. I think there were 8 shots fired and 4 or 5 of them hit, resulting in two dead assailants and one disabled. Considering he was being chased, assaulted and was on the ground for part of the engagement (not to mention he is only 17), I think he handled himself very well. His marksmanship was a lot better than most cops in that situation.

And yet GoFundMe will not allow any money to be raised for Rittenhouse... Just another reason I will never contribute to any fundraising effort using GoFundMe.

Kenosha Kid ballad. There are a couple of versions and YouTube requires most of them restricted to over 18 (some are pretty graphic).

Here's a link to one showing the violence with lyric subtitles:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_EpCXd4Dpm8

Parody of the song Big Iron by Marty Robbins The song is about the "fiery yet mostly peaceful" Black Lives Matter protest that occurred in Kenosha, Illinois, and the shooting that occurred afterward.

Lyrics
In the town of old Kenosha marched some troubled rogues one day
Held hammers high above their heads, and looking for afray
No one dared to ask their business, no one dared to make a din
Save for one young man among them with an AR on a sling AR on a sling

In this town, there were some outlaws bound to teachings of the Red,
Many soi bois were among them as were trannies overfed,
They were vicious, prone to violence, burning gas stations and more,
And their leader rode a skateboard rolling swiftly on the floor, Swiftly on the floor.

Now young man started talkin', made it plain to folks around
He was there to stop the mob from burnin' businesses to ground.
Didn't look like much the tough guy 'cept for one important thing,
And that thing, of course, an AR riding tautly on a sling Tautly on a sling

Now the night was passing quickly as the mob moved wielding flame
And the youth called out to halt them when they spotted him as game
He was running down the pavement when a lout caused him to trip
And tempted the soi leader with the skateboard on his hip Skateboard on his hip

It was over in a moment as the folks had gathered round,
The skater sought the rifle as the youth lay on the ground,
Oh he might have went on livin' but forgot one major thing
And he fell down shot dead by the kid with AR on a sling AR on a sling

A RRR
A RRR
He fell down shot dead by the kid with AR on a sling

Not to mention his skill in the “shoot/no shoot” scenario. I didn’t see him fire at anyone that was not a direct threat to him at the time. In at least 2 cases he aimed at people who were ready to attack him, but as soon as they raised their hands and veered away indicating they were no longer a threat, he lowered the weapon. A lot of people would be so hyped up on adrenaline at that point they would have just been pulling the trigger at anything that moved too close to him.
