A settlement has been reached in a wrongful death civil lawsuit between the family of Breonna Taylor and the city of Louisville.
The deal includes $12 million for the family and more "significant" police reforms, including new drug testing rules for LMPD officers, an incentive for officers to live in specific neighborhoods and a new level of scrutiny over search warrants.
Mayor Greg Fischer announced the changes at 2 p.m. with Taylor's family, attorneys Lonita Baker and Ben Crump, and others.

Does it include funeral expenses for the murdered drug dealer that was found in the back of Breonna Taylor’s rental car?
The city of Louisville aint paying squat.
The taxpayers of Louisville are paying millions.
The salaries of every city employee should be cut to pay for this settlement.
‘Victim’ is now a job description.
What is Crump’s share???
Stick it to the taxpayer...
an incentive for officers to live in specific neighborhoods
I’d pull me resume...
So is ghetto lottery winner, which is what they call the families of these so-called victims. How about money for the families of cops killed in the line of duty?
This stuff is infuriating.
Not saying they won’t file charges, but proving beyond a reasonable doubt will be very tough in this case.
I can’t keep track of all our domestic enemies’ victims over which it’s worth burning down my hometown.
Wouldnt be the least bit surprised if its over half.
How long before that $12 million is squandered on bling?
“””Does it include funeral expenses for the murdered drug dealer that was found in the back of Breonna Taylors rental car?”””
Come on, man. Who hasn’t returned a rental car and forgot to take the bodies out of the trunk? I’m sure we have all done it at one time or another. These things happen. No need to judge people for that.
You means what’s left after Crump gets his cut?
Probably a fair amount of that, and Crump didn't have to lose a family member in the process.
I think Crump sold out cheap. His drug dealer and ho was probably putting the squeeze on because he was behind in his payments, so he had to hurry up and settle.
If he didn't need his next fix so bad, he probably could have held out for 10 times that.
And much is ghetto lawyer Crump’s take? He is the Gloria Allred for police lives don’t matter cases lately. And the mayors and governors gladly pay him off.
Arg. You beat me to it.
Good gawsh.
Where’s the payback for all of the destroyed store fronts/stores and lost business????
Cleveland used to require officers and firemen to live within the City Limits.
