Anyone that thinks the son of a Cuban born in Canada is a natural born citizen of the USA does not belong on the SC.

Cruz would not be a Roberts turn-coat. A true constitutional conservative would be a GREAT voice on the SCUSA. Imagine the contrast...RBG to REC ! I love the trade! Would make Dems head explode ! Then if Thomas does want to retire... another Trump pick would be wonderful !! Conservative and YOUNG is the way to go !

You don’t appoint sitting Senators. We went through that. But I’m glad he’s at least on the list.

Not to worry. The senate is going to be close that any of these picks won’t make it through hearings.

I agree.

The issue is these folks don’t tell you they are sick, until they can’t hide it.

The good news is that even the Dems will give Ted Cruz a pass because he is big time pro-corporation.

The Supreme Court is all about being pro-corporation more than leaning left or leaning right.

The corporations will see to it that Cruz gets on the court and any leftist that gets in his way will get politically crucified.

I never like the nominating of any current GOP office holder for any judgeship. We never need to nor should we intentionally create any vacancy in any position held by a GOP member. If they have already left office and are now a former office holder, fine. But not before, not by making them put their elected office up for grabs. We don’t need THAT.

I think given the realities, Cruz is never going to be President even though he would be a great one. Accepting a nomination for a Justice tthe Supreme Court, and then later as the Chief Justice would best serve the nation and leave him with a huge lasting legacy.

Cruz is a true Constitutional originality, maybe even more so than Scania if you can imagine that.

Can’t believe how many people want him to decide that Anwar al-Awlaki’s kids, born in Yemen to one citizen parent, are natural born citizens eligible to be President.

If he is, they are.
