Thanks for posting this bro!
It is yet another sign as Hal puts it.
That's how evolution works.
"Stay healthy--eat more dirt"
Not a new concept, been around for awhile. Why isn’t on TV anymore?
Adaptation.
The sanitizing craze will have (if it hasn’t already) an unintended side effect - a lack of natural immunity to the next bug.
I don’t take extraordinary precautions regarding my health, and while I do wash my hands regularly I’m not fanatical about sanitizing everything. And I grew up playing in the dirt. While growing up, my immune system got lots of practice. :)
Hal Lindsey?
That old charlatan isn’t dead yet?
What a shame.
"The hell you say!"
Whenever Hal Lindsay gets mentioned, I think they’re talking about Hal Linden.
I always wash my hands before I pee
My body has absorbed so much hand sanitizer that when I pee it cleans the toilet.
Research the Walkerton ecoli outbreak. Blamed on agricultural ecoli getting into town water system.
None of the country kids from farms got sick...only those who usually drank chlorinated H2O
I went to Fergusons Plumbing Supply to pick up some fixtures for a remodel I am working on. The people there are doing the COVID BS to be compliant with our tyrant governors edicts to be in business.
We had a good laugh about keeping plumbers safe from diseases. Plumbers probably have the most bulletproof immune systems of anyone on the planet!
dittos :)
Not surprised in the least.
Antibiotics should never have been prescribed to freely and without thought of the consequences. If they had been saved for true, life threatening infections, we would not be in the mess we’re in with antibiotic resistant everything.
And people would have immune systems that know how to fight infection. and likewise, allergies would be less of an issue.
Creating monsters... There are at least two steps in the process, and probably a lot more. If you create a cold bug that’s resistant to treatment, it doesn’t follow that you’ve created a monster that’s going to rip your eyeballs out and eat ‘em for lunch. It just means you’ve helped bring about a cold virus that you’re not going to be able to treat and you’re just going to have to put up with the sniffles for a while. in other words, resistance to the standard treatment, doesn’t automatically confer a whole new viciousness or a whole new mode of attack. imo
My wife gets upset when I spill food on the kitchen counter, and then I use my fork to scoop it back onto my plate. She's freaked out about germs, constantly spraying antiseptic spray on her hands after touching anything. Me, I take my risks, remembering my childhood where I ate anything I could get my hands on no matter where it came from. Me and my friends would pick blackberries from bushes and toss them in our mouths, and then later notice dogs pissing on the bushes. Oh well, they tasted good.
I dont take extraordinary precautions regarding my health, and while I do wash my hands regularly Im not fanatical about sanitizing everything. And I grew up playing in the dirt. While growing up, my immune system got lots of practice. :)

With you on all that.
Constant application of alcohol and other skin disinfectants strip away protective oils. Elderly have thinner skin. Could they be thinning their skin even further &/or absorbing the disinfectants, or at least making it easier for microbes to enter the body?
We backed off the excessive use of hand sanitizers and more than *normal* hand washing after noticing very dry skin with redness and some cracking. I use aloe to moisturize.
Well, duh. This has been known for decades.
