Deputies responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call in the 45000 block of Highway 371 just after 12:30 a.m. Monday...
A woman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds was found at the location and transported by paramedics to a local hospital for treatment...was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
A search of the property revealed six additional victims, all suffering from gunshot wounds. All six of those victims also died from their wounds...
Investigators say evidence at the location indicated it was being used as an illegal marijuana growing facility.
More than 1,000 pounds of marijuana and several hundred marijuana plants were found at the location.

There’s a difference between simply being legal, and being controlled by the Gov’t. If something is controlled by the Gov’t, the price is going to be higher, there are rules as to who can sell it, where they can sell it, etc.
Well, if you repeal prohibition but then slap a 50% tax on the product, then bootleggers are obviously still going to have a niche.
It’s the same reason we still have cigarette smugglers in this country even though cigarettes have been legal forever.

The neighborhood dealer also won’t make you place an order online ahead of time, wait for a confirmation, stand in line, wear a mask and observe social distancing guidelines while trying to get your product. Hell, half of them will come deliver it.

Six were suffering from gunshot wounds, oddly, most people don't exactly enjoy gunshot wounds, but since it's California, ya never know.
