Worse than being a chaplain, Omar was a licensed shrink and a psych services officer. He routinely violated his professional oath of confidentiality with patients by filing complaints to the PM or IG about soldiers he treated who he felt were either guilty of ‘war crimes’ or had Islamaphobic attitudes. A real shrink from hell. Of course no one in his chain of command investigated his actions.

The FT Hood installation has been a rough “town” for years. It has lead or been in the top 5 crime-ridden bases for decades. It rises in attention at the flag level when it gets bad press and/or political correctness is involved otherwise little changes.

It sounds like there could be serious black market/organized crime and/or drug issues there....

Scuttlebutt says there has been a long running illegal weapons supply train running from Ft Hood into Mexico and points south.

Military training has always had inherent dangers. From my Infantry OCS graduating class, the first death was from a classmate killed in a training accident at helicopter flight school over at Fort Rucker not very long after our graduation.

Women can do the support jobs, and fighter pilots and such, maybe not infantry on average but truth is we have a volunteer military and not every man is interested in going to some shithole in SW Asia for a year, we have to make do.

Same here....went to Ranger school and my classmate died soon after. I rolled my ankle and was recycled, then got peered out 2nd go around. Sad not to get my tab, but proud to serve with the best.

2nd OCS buddy died in a flight with another new aviation officer. RIP Rufus and Justin.

That's it - DemComs with an axe to grind are piling on during an election year. That's all this is. There's really nothing unusual about soldiers dying on or off the base - been like that for decades. Agenda driven politicians aren't gonna do squat to change any of that.

Yes, but the disruption caused by the sexual dynamics is a distraction. I want our military to be focused and cohesive. Like it or not, the presence of women changes that. It’s a defense machine, not an office job.

Just being realistic with you, personally as a person who works with military overseas on a Europe base seem to be okay with the mixed dynamics not the front lines but still, however with the way things are, its not an option at this point, sorry man, again we have to make do.
