Congress will launch an investigation into sexual assault, disappearances, deaths and the leadership's response at Fort Hood after 28 soldiers stationed at the U.S. Army base in Texas died this year, two subcommittee leaders announced Tuesday.
Democratic Reps. Stephen Lynch of Massachusetts and Jackie Speier of California sent a letter to Army Secretary Ryan D. McCarthy requesting documents and information on the deaths. Lynch chairs the Committee on Oversight and Reform's Subcommittee on National Security, and Speier leads the Committee on Armed Services' Subcommittee on Military Personnel.

Isn't it a bit late for somebody to wake up?
When you put homosexuals in the military you add a sexual dynamic.
When it’s straight men ordering straight men around and competing with straight men there is a lot less abuse going on.
Same with having women in there. Sexual dynamic. Abuse. Excess. We are human beings.

Remember it was called “work place violence” not terrorism.
Men raping men in the military has been going on a long time, even before gays were officially let in. I've seen the congressional hearings and internal investigations on this topic. I'd bet some of these deaths at Fort Hood were suicide due to shame.
That said, adding women and gays was absolutely the wrong policy, both from the sexual dynamics interference and because women can't physically be as effective as men.
It sounds like there could be serious black market/organized crime and/or drug issues there....
The senior folks at the base should be moved somewhere else so fresh eyes can look at what is happening there.
Yes sexual abuse will always still occur everywhere. Recruiting and allowing open homosexuals makes it far more prevalent and gives them a platform for it. Also a power structure to protect themselves.
And still living easy at taxpayer expense.

Lynch and Speier are among the most radical left wing Dems in the House. They’ve never cared about the military servicemembers. Ever.
The REMFs who made the decision to integrate women into the combat arms and to allow homosexuals to serve in the military DID NOT AND WILL NOT EVER HAVE TO SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES OF THEIR IDIOCY!
Those who are in the ranks and in the leadership are the ones who will suffer.
And, the poor suffering US taxpayer of course, who must pick up the additional cost of these REMF’s mistakes!
LIEberals are that way, you know; they create a huge mess and then leave it to someone else to clean up!

I was there for DOE/NNSA .50 cal course and UAV course with 4th BDE/4ID. We had three deaths on base inside a month:...1n E6 got lost on a land nav course and died, a TUAV operator walked into a Hunter UAV and bled to death, and an LMTV rolled over killing one. No murders though.....
