“If we continue to be a happy people, that happiness must be assured by the enacting and executing of reasonable and wise laws, expressed in the plainest language, and by establishing such modes of education as tend to inculcate in the minds of youth, the feelings and habits of ‘piety, religion and morality,’ and to lead them to the knowledge and love of those truly Republican principles upon which our civil institutions are founded.”
—Samuel Adams: Address to the Legislature of Massachusetts, January 16, 1795
According to an American Civil Liberties Union report earlier this year, Black Americans are 3.64 time more likely than White Americans to be arrested for marijuana possession.
Hey, not only that, I've never been jailed for stuff I didn't actually do, that seems so unfair. Obviously, part of white privilege is not being made to serve time for crimes committed by others. /sarc

Is there anyone who hasn’t been “impacted by drugs?”
“Smoking marijuana causes cancer and schizophrenia, especially in the younger population.”
Links?
“The Democrats and their most influential new constituents will continue their push, until every freedom is violated.”
What ‘freedom’ is violated by marijuana legalization?
‘John Adams: “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”’
No Founding Father ever said laws could make or keep a people moral.
How about us old folks? Do we go nuts too? Or is that just dementia?
“Trump should simply have it removed as a DEA CSA Schedule 1 drug - which is really overkill. Let the states deal with it as they see fit.”
Amen! He could steal a march on the Rats and further cement his constitutionalist bona fides.
Sorry that’s a democrat agenda item, you know.. Your side. Trump will almost certainly not support more harmful drugs. Sorry dems!
The Liberterals on here will be rooting for this...
And the dems want to skil 5pct off the top ...now. They will up it to 10pct later.
Noblefree, AKA Mr Leroy, already is. They just love the democrat voting agenda.
In the 2016 campaign Trump said marijuana was an issue for the states - and as President he’s done nothing to crack down on legalizing states. So sad for you.
And aren’t the blue states just doing great too.
I love the Constitutionalist limited-government agenda ... you love the big-government agenda.
Yet you only want pot legalized, but you’re ok with big government control of crack and heroin.
Yeah MI sure is good lately.. Hahah.
As a conservative I'm mistrustful of drastic changes such as legalizing all drugs at once; I say relegalize the least harmful and most popular drug first (actually second - the relegalization of alcohol came first) and see what lessons there are to be learned.
