KENOSHA, Wis. The Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) is investigating an officer involved shooting (OIS) in Kenosha, Wis. that occurred on the evening of Sunday, August 23, 2020.
Kenosha Police Department officers were dispatched to a residence in the 2800 block of 40th Street after a female caller reported that her boyfriend was present and was not supposed to be on the premises.
During the incident, officers attempted to arrest Jacob S. Blake, age 29. Law enforcement deployed a taser to attempt to stop Mr. Blake, however the taser was not successful in stopping Mr. Blake. Mr. Blake walked around his vehicle, opened the drivers side door, and leaned forward. While holding onto Mr. Blakes shirt, Officer Rusten Sheskey fired his service weapon 7 times. Officer Sheskey fired the weapon into Mr. Blakes back. No other officer fired their weapon. Kenosha Police Department does not have body cameras, therefore the officers were not wearing body cameras.
The shooting officer, Kenosha Police Officer Rusten Sheskey, has been a law enforcement officer with Kenosha Police Department for seven years.
During the investigation following the initial incident, Mr. Blake admitted that he had a knife in his possession. DCI agents recovered a knife from the drivers side floorboard of Mr. Blakes vehicle. A search of the vehicle located no additional weapons.
Law enforcement immediately provided medical aid to Mr. Blake. Flight for Life transported Mr. Blake to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. Mr. Blake remains at the hospital.
DCI is leading this investigation and is assisted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Wisconsin State Patrol and Kenosha County Sheriffs Office. All involved law enforcement are fully cooperating with DCI during this investigation. The involved officers have been placed on administrative leave.
DCI is continuing to review evidence and determine the facts of this incident and will turn over investigative reports to a prosecutor following a complete and thorough investigation.
When DCI is the lead investigating agency of a shooting involving a law enforcement officer, DCI aims to provide a report of the incident to the prosecutor within 30 days. The prosecutor then reviews the report and makes a determination about what charges, if any, are appropriate. If the prosecutor determines there is no basis for prosecution of the law enforcement officer, DCI will thereafter make the report available to the public.
it’s alive and well. Some billionaire just spent a bunch of money to sign some guys up at his Chelsea football club in the UK
and I dont think RUssia is participating in this nonsense..but Zenit did lose today.
” Seven shots makes me think the cop may have panicked a bit “
You shoot till the threat is stopped.
Keep firing until the threat is neutralized.
They don't drop at the first pop.
He didn’t sign Messi, did he?
Messi all up in the air. He could land at Man City and then go to MLS after three years
Some think he is bluffing to get someone out of Barcelona
There is no doubt he is a talent that should be sought after
None of those sports teams made a peep following the firearm murder of retired policeman/security guard David Dorn by those looters.
I think Ronaldo will end up in Miami next year.
Fox News should see that video and that particular frame from the video for sure: the one that shows Blake holding the knife while walking around the vehicle. They could show it repeatedly on the TV news with information about how deadly the knife is. He probably dropped the knife in the floorboard only after being shot.

Here’s the reason that I wrote the following: the story from Fox News so far. Needs editing or updating.

“They don’t drop at the first pop. “
Depends on what you are shooting and shot placement... but you are correct. And always remember the 20 foot knife rule.
I am going to stop betting US sports..this is another parlay screwed up. I had them under 4.5
@BernieSanders
I strongly support the NBA, WNBA and MLB players who are striking for racial justice. Real change takes place when people come together and demand it. It is time for the police who shot Jacob Blake seven times in the back to be fired, arrested and prosecuted. Now.
Christian Pulisic has developed into a world class talent. A threat almost every time he gets the ball. Someone who respects hard work very much cuz he’s only gotten better every time I see him.
Messi will go to Inter Milan or Manchester City.
I’ve looked at them a number of times. In fact just got three different throwing sets and looked at butterflys and karambits on the website but passed. Flippers and assisted opening are about all this old man can handle — maybe a tanto, but not much more than that since Chemo.
