California Is A Failed State. How Do We Know? They’re Moving To Arizona In Droves

The numbers are staggering. According to online real estate company Zillow, the city by the Bay is emptying out.

A flood of new listings began during the pandemic, a 96% increase compared to last year’s housing inventory. Silicon Valley pushed staff to work from home, an effort many tech giants are thinking of making permanent. But that doesn’t explain the exodus since San Jose hasn’t seen the same effect. Neither have Miami, Boston or Washington, D.C., at least not at this level.

The sad fact is, San Francisco has become unaffordable and unlivable at the same time.

The harsh pandemic response has hurt other California cities as well. Gov. Newsom’s arbitrary diktats have shuttered churches and gyms, but ignored massive Black Lives Matter protests and the advantage-taking rioters who followed in their wake.

AZ is not immune to voter fraud. During the 2018 mid term election the Hollywood progressives sent bus loads of their minions to Phoenix to vote fraudulently for Kristin Sinema. Alyssa Milano even ordered pizza to be delivered to them while they waited in abnormally long lines to cast their illegitimate ballots. (And yes, I am being serious.)

“...ran for a city seat. Carpetbagger. Person is leftist as hell.”

Small Southern towns have ways of making outsiders feel unwelcome, to the point that the outsider will dread letting the sun set on his head, if you get my drift.

I have made it a point to discuss politics every chance I get. I live in FL, in a purple area, and I’ll be darned if I let blue people come down here and think they will convert us peaceably.

When they come down here, they better know they are coming down to a red area, and why it is the way it is, and I am in their face about it.

I always ask why they came here, and taxes is always mentioned - how low they are - and I ALWAYS say, I hope you learned your lesson and remember not to vote Democrat and vote them up!

CA flushed the toilet and it’s running toward other states.

Actually in much of Phoenix, home prices just got back to where they were after the crash about 2-3 years ago.
Many AZ home owners are finally no longer underwater.

Try not to wait much longer before buying as inventory is very low.

While our move to the valley was too late to catch the fire-sale bargains of the Obama Depression, we did buy a place here in 2013. It has since gone up in value by close to 30% but I don’t plan to sell it.

Our downtown church is overflowing and is seeking a new location. We are trying to hold off to see where they land.

Our house in rural Illinois lost 40% in that crash, and prices still haven't recovered (and it wasn't that expensive to start with. We built new and did our own contracting. Lost our sweat equity and a whole lot more.)

Then let these carpetbaggers find their cars vandalized and their addresses doxxed.

Works both ways.....

Ya might want to wait until 11/3/2020 to see how everything shakes out. Btw, I won't live long enough for it to ever become as cobalt blue as where I came from in CA.☺ But thanks for the deep concern.

Not good. We already know some liberal Californians who moved from CA to Phoenix a few years ago, and they can't wait to "vote Trump out of office". They won't be voting for McSally or any other Republicans either.

God help us if we lose anymore Red states...

It’s easy to prove on just 2A alone.

Of course, some states that were purple are turning red with the Trump version of the Republican Party. Ohio is an important example, but Michigan and Wisconsin are trending that way.

In the '70s, a lot of north-easterners moved to the southeast, and while the area became more liberal, the resettled folks in general got more conservative.

We have to work extra hard (and pray!) to confront the resettled with other worldviews. We cannot keep writing off sections of the country. Trump, unlike Romney, went for the whole thing at a certain level. He is also an opportunity to mint new conservative voters, especially among minorities, if we can keep out the Bushes, Flakes, Romneys, Corkers, etc.

“My last electric bill was over $500. I winced.”

Whoa! I’m on an averaging plan - $164/month, 2 people, small (1600 sf) house, no pool, daytime AC @ 75 degrees.

I pay $90/month in the winter time. Bigger house (home office) and all four of us are home all the time, so we can’t raise the temperature during the day in summer.

We keep our AC at 77. We may just have an older, less efficient system in our rental home.
