A Biden-Harris presidency would largely end oil and gas production

Joe Biden’s selection of Kamala Harris as his vice presidential running mate could mean the end to the affordable energy that makes modern American life possible.

In comparison to the Trump administration, which has prioritized deregulation and energy dominance, the former vice president and California senator have both committed themselves to heavily restrict fracking as they focus on climate change and renewable energy. If enacted, the Biden-Harris plan would reduce energy choices, increase prices and drive Americans back to international markets for essential energy supplies.

On issues of energy supply, Biden has been clear. For example, moderators at the Democratic Party debates asked him about his position on hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, the means by which American natural gas producers have helped to free us from many of the vagaries of international energy markets. He boldly replied, “No more drilling on federal lands. No more drilling, including offshore. No ability for the oil industry to continue to drill, period. Ends!” Later, in the same debate, he added, “No new fracking.”

That broad and somewhat vague pronouncement likely raised blood pressure readings among supporters in Biden’s campaign. Promising to put as many as 1.7 million American workers out of a job by banning fracking would be a hard sell for any campaign, especially in gas-producing states such as Texas or Pennsylvania. So no one was surprised to see Biden staffers walk back the former VP’s ambiguous promises immediately after the debate. They quickly limited his anti-fracking rhetoric to targeting energy development on federal lands.

And Biden staffers aren’t the only ones openly correcting policy stances for the former vice president. Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.), who co-chairs the Sanders side of the Biden-Sanders Unity Task Force, is getting in on the action, too.

If you want a vivid description of Biden’s America (you’ll have to add the race war) read Atlas Shrugged.

The Science is how we get back to normal. The Science tells us that having electric lighting and air-conditioning will destroy our planet. Therefore normal is no more electric lighting and air-conditioning. California without electricity is how we return to normal. It’s the Science.

Modern society has been built on coal, oil, and gas.

If we aggressively pursued nuclear power, we could switch off of them in a couple of generations, but to what purpose?

It would be possible to build small, distributed nuclear plants which could be transported and immune to most attacks.

A grid powered by a thousand or two small (megawatt), buried, recyclable mine nuclear plants would be much safer for the nation, and much more defensable.

But the goal is not to be safe and defensible, but to bring down the United States.

Some would argue the goal is to sacrifice to the Earth Goddess, Gaia...

What inauguration. After the election chaos, Gen. Miley's army, which is sworn to stay out of politics, always, and not engage in stunts, like clearing Lafayette Park of Marxist rioters and looters, will have to go in and apolitically drag Trump out of the Whitehouse and turn the keys over to the non-political Speaker of the House.

That's how the army stays out of politics.

There is a deeper problem here. The President is supposed to carry out policy, not make policy. Decisions on whether or not to drill on federal lands, fracking, etc. are supposed to be made by Congress.

The whole “regulations” thing has given the President king-like powers.

Fracking in the USA is a strategic imperative. Anyone who stops it is colluding with our enemy the Chinese.

The comments are mostly Libs saying this is fear mongering. They should read their own bills and policy papers.

The problem with fracking for oil is that it’s a lot like dating Jewish women. They put out a lot in the beginning then later on not so much.

“...Anyone who stops it is colluding with our enemy the Chinese....”

Well, it wouldn’t be anything new.
They’ve likely been colluding with the CCP now for quite awhile, including the likely planned virus release date. Yep. Fauxi helped fund that CCP bioweapons lab over there to create the crap to start with. It needs to be brought out and made public that they did this, and there needs to be a whole bunch of em hanged publicly for treason/sedition/mass murder/crimes against humanity etc....a WHOLE bunch of em.

A Biden-Harris presidency would largely end oil and gas production.

A Biden-Harris presidency would largely end civilization.
