A radio station in Cleveland fired a news anchor this week after her referred to Democrat Kamala Harris as the nation’s “first colored vice presidential candidate,” according to reports.
Anchor Kyle Cornell, 26, used the description of Harris in a news promo spot that aired during WTAM radio’s broadcast of a Cleveland Indians baseball game, Cleveland.com reported.
Some baseball fans quickly posted negative reactions on social media, Cleveland's WKYC-TV reported.

I learned a long time ago to keep my mouth shut in certain situations. I am retired military and had to attend a few “sensitivity” training sessions. I didn’t contribute because I could see there was no upside to these sessions. One of my subordinates, a superintendent in one of my facilities maintenance shops, defended the calendars you often used to see on shop walls. One was the Snap-On tools calendar and another was a calendar of cheerleaders for the local NFL team. He had no clue that these things are out now. Said some non PC things and got us both in hot water.

That cartoon reminds me of the conversation I overheard between my grandmother and mom back in the early 70’s. Grandma would have been about 90.

The “girl” was probably in her 50’s! And was a wonderful neighbor to my grandma. I was a young teen and not about to correct her on her terminology - which she obviously didn’t mean as derogatory.

AMEN! Another poster made the comment last night that his aunt refers to men that wear a mask as men who 'squat to pee'...that applies to many men in all kinds of scenarios, including the one cited by this article. The squatters are EVERYWHERE!

Like to read Michael Connelly’s books; Bosch and the Licoln Lawyer series. In a 2004 book he uses the N word liberally in a trial dialogue. In his latest the N word is not printed out but printed N..... in 15 years we can’t print the N word in a book? The F word and MF words still get printed.
That’s ridiculous...but wmf is okay and whitey is okay and cracker is okay....
