On Friday, federal authorities evacuated all federal buildings in Portland after reports of a car bomb threat. The FBI is investigating the threat.
“The FBI is aware of recent reporting regarding threats made against federal buildings in Portland,” the FBI’s Portland field office said in a statement. “We are investigating to determine the credibility of the threat, and we remain in touch with our law enforcement partners to share information.”
The Bankruptcy Court cited a “threat of violence in the area” as the reason for its shutdown, The Oregonian reported. A source with knowledge of the situation told the paper that federal authorities received a threat that a vehicle filled with explosives would hit a federal building. It remains unclear if the threat involved a specific building.
The source also told The Oregonian that the Standard Insurance and Standard Plaza buildings had been evacuated on Friday morning.
The threat came after the 84th night of violent riots in Portland. In the name of pursuing justice for George Floyd, rioters have fired explosives at the federal courthouse, set fire to the police union, attempted to burn down a police precinct with officers inside, and turned the entrance of the ICE building into a war zone.
On Thursday night, rioters attempted to break into the ICE building. When federal officers came out, rioters threw rocks and bottles at them, shined lasers to blind them, and launched commercial-grade fireworks at them. They also set dumpsters on fire. The riot continued into the morning.

President Trump sent in federal law enforcement gathered from around the nation to end the terrorist attacks on Federal property. Now the buildings have been evacuated because of a threat of a car bomb.
The fact they are evacuated does not mean they are not defended. If the terror continues, the President will order a very strong reaction to quell the assaults.
He may arrest the mayor et al for complicity.
What does he lose by having federal law enforcement protecting federal assets? If Antifa/BLM move away from those targets, into the suburbs, the State or local authorities will have to deal with it. There will no longer be a potential upside to letting the mob run wild.

Just declare martial law then the military commander of an area or country has unlimited authority to make and enforce laws. Martial law is justified when civilian authority has ceased to function, is completely absent, or has become ineffective.
On a national level, both the President and the Congress have the power to impose martial law....In each state, the governor has the right to impose martial law within the borders of the state.
Additionally these riots could be called an insurrection......The law prohibits the incitement, assistance, and participation in a rebellion or insurrection against the authority of the United States and its laws. The punishment for this crime is a fine, a maximum sentence of 10 years in federal prison, and ineligibility for public office.
BTW....In as much as the Governor holds office during the pleasure of the President, there is no security of his tenure. He can be removed by the President at any time.

In my mind, California, Oregon and Washington have by virtue of declaring themselves sanctuaries and failing to uphold Federal law, have in effect seceded from the union. It is then ok for the President os remove the governments and establish a territorial government to sort it all out.
As a territory the various Congressional Representatives and Senators are no longer eligible to serve in Washington.

P Portland and Oregon in general I failed city States in the process of collapsing having been converted to a form of socialist communism long ago. They are owned by the socialist globalist conglomerates of Nike and Intel amongst many others.
They are mostly white and homogenous with a large white population who are predominantly communists.
The farmers and ranchers in Oregon have no control over the state and are largely more conservative than the rest of the country. They just don’t have any political power.
