Michelle Obama’s impassioned speech about the need to get out and vote isn’t all that went viral from the DNC.
The gold necklace worn by the Former First Lady, which spelled out “V-O-T-E,” has also gone viral following her 18-minute speech capping off the first night of the 2020 Democratic National Convention.
The customized necklace, available in 14-karat yellow, rose or white gold, is sold by the brand ByChari, and starts at $405, depending on the chain length.
Designer Chari Cuthbert made a VOTE necklace for the last election and had already planned to do one for this year’s.
“As we started our outreach, I was honored when Michelle Obama’s stylist asked for one and am thrilled she is wearing it,” Cuthbert told the outlet in a statement.
Less than 30 minutes after Obama’s speech wrapped, Google Trends tweeted that her necklace was “the top trending search on all of US Google in the last hour of the event,” pointing to the terms: “Michelle Obama necklace,” “vote necklace,” and “letter necklace.”
During her speech, the “Becoming” author, said “too many people” in 2016, “chose to believe that their votes didn’t matter.
“Whatever the reason, those choices sent someone to the Oval Office who lost the national popular vote by nearly 3 million votes. In one of the states that determined the outcome, the winning margin averaged out to just two votes per precinct. Two votes. And we’ve all been living with the consequences.”
Despite ongoing voter intimidation by the Trump administration, Obama said that no one can sit out this year.

Media can only do that with stupid people, but they do succeed with making it “viral” with stupid people.

Trust me, when I saw Mike last night for those few minutes saying “How much I love America”. It made me sick and angry because I remember 12 years ago when she said, “I’m not proud of my country.”
