My teen son was laughing at the episodes during the convention today. He thought it was the dumbest thing hed ever seen... and he watches some dumb stuff frankly. He said Really? Is this what a presidential convention is like? Its like a stupid youtube video of losers. Thanks for that report... love it!
As we were watching just a small part of the RAT convention earlier tonight, hubby and I were also laughing at everything, especially how strange and antiseptic, and full of doom and gloom it was.
I wondered what young people thought of it, though, as they're very used to seeing just about everything on a computer or iPhone screen. People our age are used to seeing *real* conventions, with crowds, balloons, confetti, etc.
Your son's reaction gives me hope that young people weren't impressed with what they saw.

One of the Democrat commentators on Laura Ingraham’s show noted that Harris was not mentioned at all tonight. That did NOT make the commentator very happy.

For those of us who did not watch, a few questions:
Were there any American Flags shown.
Did they sing the National Anthem?
If so, were they standing or kneeling?
Was defund the police part of their platform?

I have been happy in my new home. And I wrote, before converting, a 200 page masters thesis on one uprising that took place under Henry the eighth, and that pretty much solidified my disgust with Anglicanism. I am an Anglophile, to be sure, and sometimes I miss the beauty of the Anglican service, but I chose substance over symbolism. And, lo and behold, I then learned that a lot more Catholics go to church on Sundays in England than do Anglicans!

At the old Madison Square Garden. One time Ford Motor Company chemist and leader Fritz Kuhn at the podium.

Why the huge banner of Geo Washington??Because they thought they were the true patriots and stewards of Americanism and falsely believed that only the white man could lead America into the future through an alliance with Germany. In other words, they wanted the KKK to be in control of the country and they wanted to help the German Nazi's in their mission to kill or enslave all the other races.

I'm with you. I attended evensong several times at Westminster Abbey over the years. Truly beautiful. Sad. But I can't continue sending funds to a church I now believe is a political organization. I also witnessed extreme hatred to whites and men in particular in a service at the National Cathedral. I stop going to church for months after that experience.
My local church is a good one. The priest was balanced but sadly has turned left, probably to placate the activists in the congregation. Plenty of conservatives still there, but pulling away one by one.
