(CNSNews.com) - Attorney General William Barr has promised to get to the bottom of what happened to the Trump campaign in 2016 and 2017 when the FBI launched its investigation into alleged Russian collusion and later, Trump obstruction.
Speaking to Fox News's Sean Hannity Thursday night, Barr said if the investigators "crossed the line" or "violated criminal law, they will be charged." He also said there will be "developments" today, Friday, in U.S. Attorney John Durham's investigation:

And John Durham is an independent man, highly experienced, and his investigation is (proceeding) apace. There was some delay because of COVID, but I'm satisfied with the progress.
And I've said there are going to be developments, significant developments, before the election, but we're not doing this on the election schedule. We're aware of the election schedule. We're not going to do anything inappropriate before the election, but we're not being dictated to by the schedule.
What's dictating the timing of this are developments in the case, and there will be developments. Tomorrow there will be a development in the case. It's not an earth-shattering development, but it is an indication that things are moving along at the proper pace, as dictated by the facts in this investigation.
Barr didn't give any hints about the forthcoming "development," but he did tell Hannity, "When we feel we can prove a crime beyond a reasonable doubt, it will be charged, I can tell you that."

At the snail’s pace set by Barr and Durham, the Democrats have good reason to hope that the November election will simply make all of this moot.
I think Barr is sincere.
Based on what evidence? Barr waiting on Horowitz’s administrative IG report? Allowing Durham to slow walk his “investigation” into campaign season so it can be plausibly dismissed due to that?
The DoJ will shut everything down after Labor Day. Even Barr’s statement reveals how sensitive they are to criticism about impacting an election. But the reality is if they have information that sheds light on corruption of a political party, they have a duty to reveal that before an election so the voters can be fully informed.
I suppose they realized that the Janitor in the FBI building was behind the entire scheme.

IF the DOJ was competent, hillary would be serving 25 to life.
Comey, brennan, clapper, paige, strzok, etc would also be serving jail time too.

But I've said it before, indulge me and let me say it again.
Barack Obama, guided by Valjar, is behind all this. And something else be on my mind lately. I think every sitting president has used the FBI to gather information for them. Consider Herbert Hoover, Truman....the Nixon stuff. Just a feeling I have. I've learned the FBI is an awful law enforcement group.
But no way are those politicos going to put America's first black president in jail or charge with major crimes.
Well yeah they should.
But I just don't think it's going to happen.
There were plenty other good black men-and woman-to run for election. But Barack was their guy and that man had no morals and still doesn't.
So we'll see.
If only we could uncover just a little more evidence of a crime, Barr could nail them. /s
